Sexy pop-star Lee Hyori will star in a TV movie about a singer who gets diagnosed with an untreatable disease on the day of her debut. She then meets a guy who also has an untreatable illness and they fall in love. It’s a typical Korean drama plot, but the expectations are super high for this 70 min TV movie.
First of all, the production company is investing 37 billion won ($3.7 million) to produce this short movie, even though none of the three major Korean broadcasters (KBS, MBC & SBS) agreed to air the TV movie yet. So each minute costs $50,000! Secondly, the cast includes A-list stars, such as Lee Dong-gun, Jung Junho, Ha SukJin, etc. Lastly, this is our chance to see if Lee Hyori will finally leave “singers-not-actors” club.
They will start filming on February 3rd and it’s expected to take about 20 days to finish shooting.
