Is Ha Ri-Soo fit to advertise female hygiene products?

Although Ha Ri-Soo was legally recognized as a female by the Inchon District Court in 2002, it just seems wrong for her to be advertising for female hygiene products. What do you think?

ok! Just because you’re recognized as a woman by the courts, doesn’t mean you’re actually a women, biologically speaking. She can’t get a period, why is she advertising for female hygiene product? wtf???

does s(he) even need to use feminine hygiene products? o_O

  17. 17 X Ghost December 6, 2007 at 9:11 pm

Yeah I just saw the video and I feel sick after watching because it’s a man dressed in drag as a woman, and s/he looks very manly and masculine which is really quite disgusting I’d rather see Hyori Lee or Boa do this Commercial instead of Harisu because this is just plain wrong for many reasons. Mom why does that lady look like a man or why has that lady got broad sholders like my dad.

so she also has a period to? does she ever feel that, the period thing such as cramp on stomach?

  19. 19 LINDOR January 31, 2008 at 2:01 am

LMFAO, she can’t even get her period LOL WTF !
that stupid if they have her as the model of the CF
when she doesn’t have her period . This is like false advertisment!

  20. 20 . February 4, 2008 at 5:06 pm

    he doesn’t even have periods!

  21. 21 Punlok February 15, 2008 at 6:33 pm

I think she is appropriate!!!! She can do.

  22. 22 kim chi March 3, 2008 at 5:38 pm

C’mon think about it! The people most inconvenienced by a girl’s period are… *drum roll please* …guys! XD

This advert is a ringing endorsement for ladies everywhere that periods aren’t that bad. Nope, not too bad at all…

  23. 23 Jane April 3, 2008 at 4:05 am

No offence…but that is JUST weird! Other female products…perhaps! BUT female hygiene products?!! But maybe the company figured strange/bad publicity is better than no publicity. And it seems to be working huh!

  24. 24 kpopgrrl April 3, 2008 at 5:50 am

The ending is the funny part. “Because I’m a woman.” LOL

  25. 25 Orchid899 April 3, 2008 at 7:42 am

    She/He has a menstral cycle?

  26. 26 ayumi April 3, 2008 at 8:09 am

she might not be a real women but if she looks that much then whats the problem? and she got surgery, so she isnt a man either..or exactly a women. if she looks like it, i dont know why she cant advertise.

  27. 27 rizzo April 3, 2008 at 11:04 am

she’s SO lucky she doesn’t get a visit every month…

  28. 28 michy April 3, 2008 at 11:37 am

she doesnt even have a period..

  29. 29 AnhChi April 3, 2008 at 12:02 pm

    haha………this is so funny!!!!!!!!..what was she/he thinking??

  30. 30 Jackie April 3, 2008 at 12:05 pm

its funny cuz its ironic, Harisu is a woman who can’t mensturate xD

  31. 31 Pugsy April 4, 2008 at 2:21 am

Harisu does not use nor will buy this product yet s/he is endorsing it. There is no credibilty in the product itself then. I wonder if this CM will boost sales or lower it despite the momentary attention of using Harisu for the spokesperson.

  32. 32 obscuremaggots April 4, 2008 at 6:05 am

That’s a beautiful woman. So what if he was a man before, what matters is the present and future.

    So people, GET OVER IT.

  33. 33 Sharurotto April 5, 2008 at 9:50 am

why is this such a big deal. she officially went through a sex change and is recognized as a woman. sure she probably doesn’t get periods or whatever…but damn, stop being so narrow-minded……i think she’s beautiful and that it’s wonderful she came out on korean tv even after a sex change, knowing there would be people like all of you up there who say “EWWWWWW GROSSSSSS EWWWW ITS A MAN!”
    GET THE F-CK OVER IT.

  34. 34 kat July 28, 2008 at 4:03 pm

Politics about his/her gender aside, it just doesn’t make sense. Would someone without taste buds advertise a soda brand? Would someone with no hands sell gloves? Would you support stevie wonder selling contact lenses?

Come one! People shouldnt’ be endorsing products you USE just because they are or aren’t pretty. It’s irrelevant whether he’s a “pretty woman” or anything else.

The point is, you CAN’T use the product, you DON’T use the product, so anything you say about it is a lie.

I feel like the company is trying to swindle people by distracting them with Harisu’s identity from the very important issue of whether or not what this is a superior product to what women already use.
