The highly anticipated drama, Que Sera Sera, directed by Kim Yoon Chul (My Lovely Kim Samsoo), starring Eric and Jung You Mee kicked off with a low rating of 8.9%, even with Eric’s hot kiss steaming up the screen. No wonder Eric was agonizing over the drama ratings – he learned from Goong S that hot kisses can’t save a sinking ship, but Director Kim beggs to differ. He’ll treat you with Casanova’s kissing scene on every episode. That’s a lot of lip exercises for hottie Eric, but will it be enough to boost up ratings in the upcoming episodes?

Hi, this is Moon Jung Hyuk who plays Kang Tae Ju from the drama Que Sera Sera. It’s been a while since I wrote on the drama website. Receiving a lot of criticisms for writing here when I was filming I’m running seems like yesterday, but this is already my sixth drama and my fifth at MBC.
The first episode will air today and I can’t fall asleep thinking about it -even though I’ve been filming for three days straight and I have to go to the airport to catch my flight in two hours.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately – but mostly unnecessarily. I have high expectations for this drama since we have the best director, funny and solid script, the industry’s best staff, talented actors & actresses, financially stable production company and etc, but I’m also afraid that if it doesn’t meet it’s expectations, I’ll blame it on myself, which is the reason why I’m agonizing over the drama.

In all honestly, I think that there’s hardly anything that goes the way I want. While I was filming Phoenix I constantly struggled with my acting, but so many people appreciated and loved our drama. But for my latest drama, even though I and my audience saw an improvement in my acting and spent many sleepless months on the set, the drama’s performance was disappointing.

After thinking for a while, I think it’s arrogant of me to think that the ratings are dependent on my performance in this situation. I feel a lot better after concluding that it’s foolish of me to think that I have some kind of power over the drama’s performance since so many people work together to create the drama – even with my poor acting, it [Phoenix] was a hit while [Invisible Parachute] wasn’t as successful even with my improved acting.

I always refer to this analogy, but I feel like a drama production is like taking a boat trip for several months. We have our captain, the brains and the rowers. I’m just a rower who sits at the front of the boat. I can clearly see the land and its people and because I sit in the front, I feel special, but at the end of the day, I’m just a rower and I must work with everyone on board to arrive at our destination safely.

People commonly refer to singers as ttantara and actors as an entertainer and they are correct. The names are different, but they all strive to provide happiness and enjoyment to their audience. Similarly, we’re [drama staff] all on board with the same goal and we’ll try as hard as we can to provide you with happiness.

I, Moon Jung Huk will try to concentrate only on my rowing and stop thinking about everything else. I hope that I’ll be able to present Que Sera Sera to you as my gift as I enjoy my filming on the set.
