QUESTION….

i just noticed seeing high school(?) pictures of korean stars especially girls….they have this same style of hair cut…is it required in them to have this haircut?

well…undergoing a plastic surgery is not something to be ashamed of especially it is becoming a trend today…but still…being natural is still the best…even if you look better when you change your look….it still better to be proud of oneself…hmmmmm…..as i remember a line from hana yori dango live…makino said…is it wrong to buy beauty??? lol….just be careful….

Okay, for those who are saying jun ji-hyun isn’t natural…If you find pictures of her now, facing straight on, she actually does look the same as she does in her highschool picture.

Plus, a lot of stars have anti-fans who put up fake pictures to “prove” they have had plastic surgery.

The thing is, people change as they age, so you can’t say just because someone looks different from the way they did as a child, they have had plastic surgery. Some get prettier, others, uglier.

I also heard eyes get bigger as you age (my mother’s korean, and she wasn’t born with double-eyelids, but by the loss of baby-fat and because as you grow older your looks change, she has them now. [Trust me, no surgery, the same thing's happening to me])

And korean women, on average, have higher, more defined nose bridges compared to other asian groups, so you can’t say just because they have a “western nose” they have had plastic surgery. That’s undermining the korean race (I absolutely abhor it when people find an attractive asian [*cough* korean] woman and automatically assume she’s had plastic surgery). Just because they’re korean, doesn’t mean they’re (we’re) all born ugly…

But yes, plastic surgery IS common (7/10 highschool girls in south korea get at least 1 surgery done, on average), afterall, 25% of koreans are not born with double-eyelids. And yes, it’s also true that someone might have had work done on their face, but no one can tell because it’s so subtle (slight shaving done of the jawbone, slight raising of the nose bridge; that’s why there were rumours of Song Hye-kyo having had plastic surgery [check her out in 'Autumn in my Heart', then 'Fullhouse']).

The truth is, though, we can never truly know someone’s had platic surgery unless they admit it (my friend claims stars can photoshop their childhood photos and put them up to prove they are natural…*shrugs* who knows…)

Sorry for the extremely long speech (it’s my version of a rant).

Lee Bo Young is not a natural. Megan already posted a link of her pro-surgery pics
