Super Junior member Dong Hae cursed at his die hard fans when they crazily gathered around him at Beijing Airport last week. He said “move away f*ck” (pardon my French) when he wasn’t able to get out of the airport due to massive fan stampede. Unfortunately for him, one of his fan recorded and uploaded his outburst, causing controversies among his fans.
Some are expressing major disappointment in him while others are saying that it was the airport security’s fault for allowing fans to get that close to them. I think fans are just over-reacting. What are you supposed to say when you are stuck among 1,500 crazy fans screaming their lungs out? Please let me pass? Give the guy a break! Geeze.
And this is the perfect example of the double-edged sword relationship between stars and fans. Stars can’t live without them, but too much love from their fans can cause trouble.

They make such a big deal out of things like this. Take his smoking, for example. Fans all claim that he’s too innocent looking to smoke and that it ruins his image, but I think they blow the situation way out of proportion. I’m a SuJu fan, too, and maybe they’re just worried for his health, but I think people have to remember these stars are also just normal people like us.

Hmm I’m a bit shocked at this…but I don’t blame him. I mean so many fans greeting them at the airport - who wouldn’t curse? I just watched it, and it is quite disappointing seeing DongHae-ssi swear, but at the same time, impressed. DongHae-ssi controlled his temper and frustration much better than most would have done if they were in that situation. I know I would have done worse. It does seem like he was just swearing at the situation, however. I believe that DongHae-ssi could have said or done something much worse, but he didn’t. He kept his emotions moderately checked.
Everyone slips up every once in a while. DongHae-ssi, though a trained celebrity, is no exception. In fact, many people would have done the same thing as DongHae-ssi if they were in his situation.
From the way I see it, the fans are to blame for it. Yes, it was DongHae-ssi who said it, but everyone has a patience limit. No one is no exception to that, no one. If the fans were true fans, they would start caring about how their idols feel. I think some of the fans there were the scary, obsessed, and stalker like kind of fans. Even though he’s a celebrity, wouldn’t you be creep out or frustrated by those kind of fans. Majority of the fans though, are like the ones screaming/squealing when they see their idols. Having 1000+ in that airport and needing to go somewhere in a set amount of time is difficult for any celebrity.
I’ll most certainly forgive DongHae-ssi for this. Everyone has their slip ups under pressure. Whether they be a celebrity or not. Even being trained on matters, if under extreme pressure or anxiousness, a human has subconscious reactions. He may not have wanted to just swear out loud, but he did. His mistake, but always remember, everyone makes mistakes. There is no perfect person amongst humans.
If that was me, I’d be thrashing around and cursing. Of course no body would want to be attacked by a HUGE group of fans. Anyhow, donghae is SOO cute.

I actually feel bad for Donghae. Even if he is a celebrity that doesn’t mean he couldn’t snap if he’s under that kind of situation. That doesn’t give us any right to say he’s wrong for cursing and finally being human to react that way.Sometimes, some fans just don’t know when to stop. Admiring is okay, but when you do things that become too inconvenient for them (idols) I think that’s another thing. To the point where you don’t even give them their right to personal space.
