Ugh, I hope not. In the span of a few short days, both Hyori and Suh In-young were spotted wearing unflattering high-waisted pants. Ms. In-young performed in the atrocious getup on KBS 2TV Music Bank yesterday. What were their stylists thinking? These pants are extremely difficult to wear and if you have even the slightly bulge in your stomach, it’s gonna show. The average person (in America) can not wear these pants unless you are pregnant. Then the pants are called maternity pants and no one would blink an eye. The only person who has the attitude and style to pull off this look is singer Kelis in the video, “I’m bossy.”*
For a closer look at the Ms. Hyori’s high waisted hot pants, check out her KM performance of “Toc, toc, toc” which sounds vaguely like her previous song “Anymotion”

wow i hope not cause only a few girls will be able to pull that off…. girls with no belli
I saw Music Bank yesterday with Suh InYoung ~ it was…horrible – whoever’s idea it was to put a yellow wifebeater under those pants obviously was out of their mind. Plus it just looks weird – I hope those never go into style >_
High-waisted skirts are already in fashion here. And it makes me cry because they’re hideous.
Kelis looks awful as well. PLEASE DO NOT WEAR THESE PANTS, EVERYONE.
sure! look the diesel jeans for this summer! here they are!
ugh..so unflattering!..not sexy at all even on skinny gals..what more if u have a slight tummy..YUCKS!!
oh my i really don’t like these; jessica simpson was seen recently wearing these things too! i hope they don’t make a comeback!
i do think it’s cute!!though it really depends on who’s wearing that kind of pants or shorts..and it’s becoming the trend with some celebrities here in the philippines, but you have to be sexy if you gonna wear them!LOL!:) i love more the low-waist and skinny jeans than whose high-waisted pair of pants!!!
Nuh-uggghhh to high-waisted pants…but yes yes to high waisted skirts!!!
I like the sophisticated version of the high wasted trouser or flare/pencil skirt. I definitely think the denim ones are way too 70’s or mom’s jeans. The ones featured by various designers on Fashion Week’s Fall 2008 collections are magnificent. You can check them out on Style.com Anyway, thanks for sharing.
