Yup, you read that right. There was another car accident in the Korean celeb world this week. The charismatic doctor from the drama Thank you, Jang Hyuk, his manager and two stylists were hit by a truck on the highway in Jun Nam providence. Luckily, Jang Hyuk wasn’t severely injured but one of his manager is known to be in a critical condition and two stylists were hospitalized. Although Jang Hyuk experienced pains around his ribs, he went back to the set to continue shooting the drama.
I’m not sure if that’s dedication or stupidity. Yes, I understand that turn around time of Korean dramas is super fast and that he didn’t want to cause a delay in production, but shouldn’t he take care of his body before going back to the set? Call me crazy, but I say he go back to the hospital to receive the proper treatment he needs. Btw, if you aren’t already hooked on Thank You, I strongly recommend this drama. Get well soon Jang Hyuk!

when I first read this I thought it was Jang Woo Hyuk, and was so happy it turned out to be this “other guy”! I’m terrible… but he should still stay at hospital to get better!
aigoo they need to be careful ~ korea needs to do something about these car accidents…if the percentage is so high just among celebrities I can’t imagine how high the rate is among citizens.
the accident rate is high among celebrities because they have crazy schedules~ they overbook themselves, not realizing how long it takes to get to their next destination
fyi, celeb managers are known for their speeding, in fact, they are proud of it and they brag about it all the time..

When I watch Happy Shares Company, I often see they don’t wear their seat bell when they go somewhere. So maybe it’s the explanation. lol

Sierra, Korea is usually compared to a hot pot where things heat up quickly and dies out quickly, so managers want to make sure that they milk the stars popularity before it dies out, which translates into overbooking and sadly, overspeeding
And everything is just super fast in Korea. When I moved to Korea to attend Graduate School, I closed my apartment within two days, I had my furnitures delivered in one day and I had internet, cable and phone connection the next day. Imagine getting that in the states! That would never happen - it takes at least a month to even get a lease!
Korea is super fast in everything, so over speeding and overbooking is just part of the culture.
