Future MBA and graduate students, stop thinking about which schools you are going to apply to because you just need to apply to one to realize ALL your dreams - Harvard! First of all, there’s no other school on this planet that can beat the prestige and stature that comes with the Harvard label. And more importantly, there’s no other school on this planet that plans frequent trips to Korea to “explore Hallyu”. In other words fly to Korea to shake hands with the creator of your idol and meet your favorite star in person. Two months ago, Kennedy School students visited Rain & JYP to learn more about JYP’s “in-house” system and next month, 50 or so Harvard MBAs are going to meet SM’s founder Lee Su Man, Kang Ta, BoA and Super Junior. Well, only if you are a pop star with killer abs and dance moves like Rain. They named the suite after Rain and called it “Rain’s Suite” and embroidered Rain’s Korean name - Jung Ji Hoon on every single towel in the room. They even filled the mini-bar with Korean snacks and Rain’s favorite food - ramen! Everything is kinda cheesy but considerate at the same time, and I’m pretty sure that this kind act certainly boosted Rain’s ego (it’s not like he needs anymore kick in that department, but I’m sure that he’s enjoying every bit of it). One attention deprived TA at Han Yang University asked Kang Dong Won for his signature on a blank test booklet at the end of the exam, scanned it and uploaded on various sites misleading a lot of people into thinking that Kang Dong Won passed the exam by just submitting his signature. On top of this, the TA bragged that he/she (gender unknown - but I wouldn’t be surprised either way) gave a “special” tutor session to the top actor - hinting that Kang Dong Won received some form of help before the exam. What a great way to bash a hard-working student!
