Other than both being hallyu stars, there is something else that ties Rain and Lee Byung Hyun together - their beloved man heels. Every time they are in their black tuxes, these two match it with their man heels. Why? Rain as a fashion statement and Lee Byung Hun to grow a couple of inches in front of the camera. Despite their reasons, I think it’s time for them to leave those at home. Don’t ya agree?
wow I did not know that man-heels existed…only heard of men wearing women’s heels haha. I agree though - they’re not too good to look at…if you cut off their bodies…well it looks like a woman’s foot. Well a big foot woman’s foot lol.

I think the shoes or man heels (so, that’s what it’s called ^^ first time hearing it though) looked good on the guys with their sharp suit and appearance. Lee Min Woo was also wearing the same type of shoes at the awards.

Manheels are more honest than the inserts most Korean male entertainers wear to add height to themselves. (Though I first learned about height inserts from my vain, gay male friend here in the States.) If there is such pressure for men to be tall, why shouldn’t they wear heels? Women do it all the time and it’s considered acceptable.

Just like women wearing pants, men have the right to wear heels as long as they are not super high like women’s. If you watch a cowboy movie, you’ll find out that men do wear boots with heels, so its okay for men to wear them for whatever reason.
I was watching some of Elvis Presley’s old movies & I noticed that he did wear shoes with heels, not to be taller, but I think it’s just a style or looked better than just flat shoes. As you all know Elvis was a very tall man, more than 6 feet tall. Cowboy boots have heels on them. So, I think high heels for men are very stylish & they looked great on men especially on celebrities.
If he just wants to look taller, he should wear shoes that fill the gap between the heel and bottom of foot…ugh

John Travolta’s heels were at least 3 maybe 3.5 inches high! Most fashionable guys wore block heels of at least 2.5 inches on their disco boots back then; I had a couple of pairs and one 3.5 inch pair is still at the back of my wardrobe!
I still wear black polished cowboy boots with white stiching and white stiched wings on the shafts that have 2.5 inch heels; I’m 6 feet tall. My 5 feet 6 inch wife wears the new rather sexy covered platform shoes with 5 inch Stiletto heels.
