A week ago, the crying “unnie” poster was plastered all over Seoul’s hot spots. Then a few days ago, the crying “unnie” poster was replaced by the smiling “unnie” poster. The only thing we know for sure is that the model is the famous “mystery girl” Woori. Other than that, nobody knows who created it, who it is for and what message it’s suppose to convey. But many believe that this is similar to the “Sun Young I Love you” campaign from a couple of years ago. Similar to “unnie” campaign, “Sun Young I Love You” posters decorated Seoul. Many believed that it was a sweet confession from Sun Young’s boyfriend, but it turned out to be a clever marketing campaign for an internet portal site.
What do you think these “unnie” posters mean? Any guesses to what expression we are going to see next week?

didn’t see it… guess I don’t hang out in the “hot spots” (pretentious spots)
its about sanitary napkins.. heehee
The advertising technique is called the Gestalt Principle. It means that the whole is better that the parts. So when advertisements don’t make complete sense the mind tries to make sense of it as a whole and bam a good advertisement. Kind of like the “Got Milk?” ads in the beginning. No one knew what they meant until some time later but it worked to get people’s attention.
oneseyespy! that makes sense! its like here we have these vontage comercials that make absolutely no sense but you remember then cause youve been wondering what they mean for so long.. its a effective technique
off note: that girl is so pretttyy (:
