Whoa! Way to go Bi-ers who voted! Is this year’s issue of 100 Most Influential out yet?!?

  2. 2 Whitey May 5, 2007 at 10:51 am

    From the TIME article:

    “NUMBER OF TIME COVERS: 0″

“Rain has yet to reach his goal of truly breaking out as a sensation in America.”

Could someone direct me to a Bi anti-fan site, please? I’d love to get on board.

This guy’s ubiquitous mug blights Seoul and his “music” is not music.

Congratulations, Netizens, on spending worthless hours online. Get back to your computer games now. Good luck with the job search.

  5. 5 Little Kitty May 5, 2007 at 4:18 pm

OMG Bi gonna to be #ONE….gosh last year he was on top 30 or 20..NOW NUMBER UNO that is AWSOME….

  6. 6 cstix May 5, 2007 at 10:00 pm

Judging by how Sanjaya got third, I don’t think anyone ought to put too much emphasis on this poll. Besides which, there’s no way at all Rain is the most influential person on the planet.

  7. 7 SeeFood May 5, 2007 at 11:30 pm

I think a lot of people are missing the meaning of “influential” here. Influential doesn’t mean “saved the most lives,” “donated the most money,” or “has the best voice in the world” - it means how quickly you can get so many people of their bums to vote for you.

It doesn’t matter if these “people” are white, yellow, purple, fan girls, or anti-fans. They’re people all the same and they voted for that person.

Anyway. This doesn’t mean I take this poll at face value nor does it mean I completely disregard it. It just means some people can just motivate people to vote for them - whether you like them or not.

  8. 8 kiwee May 6, 2007 at 12:32 am

agreed with cstix. supposedly many indians are avid netizens as well (this according to an indian).

  9. 9 tanya May 6, 2007 at 8:20 am

We netizens are obsessed with Hyun Bin too, not only the japanese..in fact i think we are more crazy!

  10. 10 me May 6, 2007 at 11:47 am

no offence to rain, but he only won beacsue god knows how many of his fans voted for him, and voted others dow, if you go to the time blog and rain forums they admit to voting other down so he could win

    THATS SO WRONG!

  11. 11 me May 6, 2007 at 11:48 am

by the way hes not on the list, just on the poll

  12. 12 cookie May 6, 2007 at 11:54 am

how are netziens powerful, they wasted their time voting someone on a list that has no merit, hes not even on the list

i was on that poll, and one day steve jobs would be like 90 the next he was 75, and rain went from 30 to like 100 the next day

plus THOSE DUMBASS RAIN FANS, even said they voted others down

CONGRATS TO RAIN, KEEP INFLUENCING DUMBASSES

  13. 13 may May 6, 2007 at 1:40 pm

GET IT RIGHT POPSEOUL! you need to get their facts right, rain wasnt in the mag, and he only won becasue of stupid fans with no life

  14. 14 gurl May 6, 2007 at 2:55 pm

Look at the people on the poll. What? Paris Hilton is not on the poll?? I’m surprised.

  15. 15 gurl May 6, 2007 at 3:01 pm

My mistake. she’s the last one. I think the American public will wonder who the heck is Rain.

  16. 16 ShenYue! May 6, 2007 at 4:07 pm

yeah girl ppl are right, you might wanna rephrase the news.. b/c Rain standed on #1 influential person of the year by Time magazine’s “online poll” … he is not on the actual list printed version of the magazine … (not eveb his pic is on the cover) the actual 100 ppl have been chosen prior to the online poll by Time itself … (still everyone is confused why the poll really?)

  17. 17 dru May 6, 2007 at 5:30 pm

silly popseoul, rains not in the magazine, lol, he was just number one on the online poll

  18. 18 popseoul May 6, 2007 at 8:55 pm

dru.. you are right ….”by netizens”

  19. 19 lyn May 6, 2007 at 9:19 pm

Calm down everyone, it’s just a poll. I’m reading through the comments and there seems to be a lot of nasty comments. Just chill out people, again, it’s just a poll. He’s not being elected for a cabinet post, it’s just a popularity contest.

  20. 20 tay May 6, 2007 at 10:15 pm

Popseoul you should take note, how you people phrase the news is important, it could mislead readers into believing something that is not true..besides, NO WAY Rain is the most influencial person, after reading how Rain got his votes..i totally lost respect

  21. 21 again May 6, 2007 at 10:54 pm

People seem to fail to realize Rain doesn’t have an enormous amount of say over who voted for him on that poll. Yes, they are HIS fans but I highly doubt he asked them all to vote for him like that.

Also people need to READ more carefully - it says Rain was voted #1 by “by netizen votes.” Jesus - NETIZEN votes, not TIME itself.

@tay: — like lyn said, it’s a bleeding popularity contest, not a presidential election. So why do you lose respect for Rain after “reading how Rain got his votes?” Shouldn’t you lose respect for the netizens who voted for him? Unless you have some hard proof he officially begged his fans to vote like mad, it’s clear he had nothing to do with this poll. Just like how Sanjaya probably didn’t ask his fans to vote him #3, over the likes of people like Steve Jobs and Bill Clinton! Furthermore, I just really doubt Rain sat at a computer all night voting for himself….

Unless of course, you meant you totally lost respect for TIME’s inability to instate a reliable voting system that logged IP addresses thus preventing spamming votes - then maybe I wouldn’t have such a low opinion of your logic.

  22. 22 alexthegirl May 7, 2007 at 12:02 am

whoa, look at all the comments for this…I agree wholeheartedly with “again”.

  23. 23 cstix May 7, 2007 at 2:24 am

Seriously. It’s not popseoul’s fault people can’t read.

  24. 24 tay May 7, 2007 at 6:34 am

Well, Im saying im losing respect for the voting system..and bcos off some stupid dumbass even said they vote others down..some of us here think, this is all wrong..no offence to Rain..but this is silly.

  25. 25 sia May 7, 2007 at 12:52 pm
