Finally! Korea has a worthy contestant for Miss Universe! The gorgeous Honey Lee (24) looks more Japanese than Korean with her cute, sexy image, but there is no denying that she is a total stunner! Although she is not a traditional Korean beauty with pale translucent skin and delicate features (think Song Hyegyo or Lee Youngae), she represents the best of what Korea has to offer- taking advantage all the excellent resources of the domestic beauty industry – plastic surgery to enhance her already gorgeous features (you can see where the nose job starts- look between the eyes), skincare, and perfect hair & makeup. But besides all of that, don’t you just love the name?*

Honey Lee is beautiful, but I believe that she has plastic surgery… particularly on the eyes. I have seen many people without eye lids and whether they are thin or fat, the lids will not born or show as obviously as Ms. Lee’s. Same goes for her nose. Nowadays having a nose job does not need a stick, but simply some touch up using silicon or your own fat/bones to enhance the nose. Her early child hood to grown up, I can see big different on her eyes, libs and nose… and the chin. Removing fat and enhancing jaw lines are more popuplar in cosmetic surgery.. so I have no doubts that Ms. Lee takes advantage of this new techniques.
As for Tom’s remark. Yup he was a bit over the line, but there is no need to keep screaming at him. The more you scream, the meaner and uncivilized you became.

ive met honey lee in real life. and i saw her up close and i doubt she had any cosmetic surgery.

Honey Lee looks so pretty and sweet. She reminds me of an idol in Japan named Aya Ueto, who is extemely cute, too. They both have similar beauty and sweetness. She had eyelid surgery, but she is still naturally beautiful, with delicate features with cute small nose and beautiful skin, and not everyone can look so beautiful with plastic surgery. I love her face!!!
I DO think Ms. Korea was better looking than ms. japan, BUT Ms. Japan by FAR had the BETTER personality. She had more spunk, and was more natural than Ms. Korea. AND, did anyone see the close-up interviews of both Ms. Korea and Ms. Japan (you can find it on the ms universe website if you didn’t)?? Korea was SO unbelievably fake, I wanted to slap her. It was OBVIOUS she couldn’t speak English very well at all (she had written out EXACTLY what to say before and then had memorized it)! Ms. Japan ALSO couldn’t speak English very well, yet she worked with what she knew and came off WAY more natural (and fun!)than Korea. Additionally, Ms. Japan wasn’t afraid to be fun and confident when she was on stage, whereas Ms. Korea took on the role of a “cute little Asian girl” and acted wayyyyy too reserved, submissive, and fake.
As a Korean girl who is immensely proud of her culture, I was actually rooting for Ms. Korea to win.. But in retrospect, I think the right person won. I hope the next Ms. Korea will not be so G’damn FAKE like Honey Lee was. There are SO many awesome people in Korea; Honey Lee just wasn’t the best representative of the Korean people, no matter how beautiful she was. What a damn shame. Congrats, Riyo, for not upholding all the horrible, negative, Asian stereotypes like Honey did. UGH.
Riyo Mori’s personality won her the crown, but I think Honey Lee would have been our 2007 Miss Universe if the pageant was based upon beauty alone. She was truly the most gorgeous!!!!!

Filipina works dirty jobs all over the world I think.

i love how most of you assume she had plastic surgery without having any actual proof. some of you who call her disgusting are just shameful. everyone’s posting pictures that are pictures of nothing and calling it proof that she had plastic surgery. until somebody actually gets the records that prove that she had surgery.. don’t go around saying she did.
to Lin. what is up with saying she’s fake? with her presentation, what exactly is wrong with being reserved? just because she’s quieter and more submissive than japan was, that automatically classifies her as fake? some people out there prefer reserved over outgoing. also, Shy people DO EXIST. they’re not mythical creatures, you know.
also, were you there when they filmed the interviews? no? well you would never know how everything worked over there now would you? perhaps she did memorize her lines, what exactly is wrong with that? it’s still her answer. whatever it is, i’m sure they made things fair and that all contestants got fair chances to answer their questions.
