Song Hye-gyo in new movie Hwangjini

The gorgeous Song Hye-gyo stars in the new big screen production of “Hwangjini,” which took 194 days to film, 4 years and about 10 million dollars to produce. The story follows the life of the real-life famous Korean gisaeng (the equivalent is “geisha” in Japan), Hwangini, who is in love with Nomi, played by the handsome Yu Ji-tae. Can’t wait to see Song Hye-gyo in this movie!! The movie stills look amazing!

You can’t necessarily equate the gisaeng and the geisha. The geisha has only 400 years of history vs the gisaeng’s 1000.

I hate how we always have to equate things to better-known Japanese culture so that people will understand “better.” They were artists and courtesans, not simply the Korean equivalent of “geisha.”

I think Aimee just meant that the two actresses are equally beautiful in the films they act in… that’s all.

Nothing to do with actually ‘equating’ the two films.

i cant wait to see her mature role in this movie….she alway act fun or bubble in those drama, i cant wait to see it, the preview is pretty goood and the poster look mysterious

shinjinny,i agree with your view. e.g. kimbap/sushi - kinda annoys me too. but what can you do? it helps people understand better.. maybe we can say it’s similar to the japanese___ but it’s different for the reasons___ ..

yah, lydia is right- what can you do? The culture of Japan is better known and if you have to japanese culture as a point of reference so ppl can understand better, then so be it. But I should have used a better word than “equivalent”…. next time I will be more careful

Song Hye Kyo looks elegant, fair skin, beautiful face and really like her long neck - gosh I to kiss ggrrrr.
very pretty. I am so excited to see the movie. Hopefully
movie with English subtitle will be available as soon as possible.

I will definitely will get a video of this movie.
Hopefully they will immediately produce one with
English sub-title.
SHK is so beautiful and this is different from her
usual movie.

I really like her posing in this poster showing her
shoulder and some of her back. She’s really gorgeous
and so sexy in this posing the mysterious look in her
eyes - every parts of her face are beautiful.

We in LAX are every excited about this movie, hopefull

There are of course many beautiful korean actress in korea;
I feel really bad when I see some plain looking kind of even nerd looking agly ones claims to be faking World star.

she is so pretty! i love song hye kyo so much! i look up to her alot, and she shows the rest of the world that koreans are not flat nosed chinky eyed freaks. ily shk!fyi i’m korean with a natural high nose and big eyes, and i feel as if song hye kyo can show the world there are people like us and even if korean doesn’t have high nose or big eyes they’re still pretty. so i’m not making fun of anyone.
