Welcome to the 90s Part I: Funky Hairdos

0518-back-in-the-days.jpg
If you need a good laugh to start off your week on a good note, just take a look at the out-dated and scary hairdos from the 90s. Obviously the big lion hairs parted down the middle was in for both genders, making some of us embarrassed to admit that we adored some of these stars back then. Fortunately for all of us, the hairspray and moose enhanced hairdos are long gone. Thank God!

Stars from the top left:
Jae Hee & Lee Na Young, So Ji Sub & Chae Rim and Shinhwa
Stars from the top right:
Kim Joong Suh & Seo Taiji, SES

Jae Hee, oh my god, what is up with the ajumma hairdo. Major No NO!!!

Eugene hasn’t change since the 90s, she looks fabulous.

Wow, Chae Rim looked so cute. Why did she get a nose job? Her current nose makes her look old and very unattractive.

Shinhwa look so boyish and cute…i know in the picture they were probably older, but they look around 13 or 14. haha, they look like my cousins back in the days.

    The Shinhwa pic = LMAO!
Oh my goodness, it’s so bad. They did not look ’sexy’ at all! And Eric looks like an ugly girl. The only decent looking one of the guys was Dongwan.

So Ji Sub & Chae Rim looked like they were making a sequel to ‘Edward Scissorhands.’

LOL~ but its nice to watch kpop MVs and listen to cheesy kpop from the 90s, not to mention kdramas from the 90s are simple, nice to watch and not too much over-rated like today… I wasnt a fan back then but its like, ‘those were the days’ haahaa.

I was just looking through my old SES albums and reminisced of my elementary school years. My friends and I wanted to do “I’m Your Girl” for the talent show… No one wanted to be Bada because we all thought she was the ugliest haha The reason I fell in love with Shinhwa was because they were so hot!! They’ve definitely made progress lol

I’m probably in the minority, but I actually liked Korean pop style in the 90s. Yes, it was weird, but it was totally unique to Korea, and individuality and creativity are sorely lacking in today’s Korean pop culture. Every Korean guy rips off Justin Timberlake, and every Korean girl rips off Britney Spears or some other American pop star. A step back in my opinion.

    LOL wtf
    jae hee’s hair
