It Rained in Tokyo!

03.jpg
Rain’s Tokyo concert was a slamming success!  Tokyo Dome – the biggest concert hall in Tokyo that only houses A-list singers such as Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Madonna, etc was packed with over 40,000 fans yesterday. Rain was also the first Korean artist to perform at this prestigious concert hall, demonstrating his popularity in Japan. And what a contrast from his Sydney concert! Obviously, appealing to the western demographics is still a challenge for this small eyed pop sensation but at least he’s feeling the love in Japan.

Other minor details of the concert:

  • Rain spoke only Japanese during his concert, of course he made mistakes but according to fans – even the mistakes were cute.
  • A lot of Japanese celebs made an appearance at his concert – again, confirming his popularity in Japan.
  • Some special effects were cut down because Tokyo Dome doesn’t allow them, but over all, it was still a solid concert.
  • Lastly, it rained yesterday. I guess Rain was right – rain does really follow Rain or is it a mere coincidence?

Rain will hop over to Thailand for his June 2 & 3rd concert then over here to the states to continue with his “It’s Raining” world tour.

Even though I’m not a big fan of Rain, it’s good to see that his fans are of different ages and that he’s doing well. Good luck Rain!

Yeah I noticed you never see young and pretty teens going wild for kpop male stars. It’s always the old and busted ahjumas.

So happy for Rain and his success.
I’m waiting for him to make his U.S. debut & will support him 100%!
He can be successful here too. It’s only a matter of time!

Rain invited Korean Singers and Actors, can you please tell who are they? :)

  9. 9 monalisa May 26, 2007 at 5:01 pm

The prices at these Korean celebrities do not come cheap, that’s why you’d find mostly ‘Ahjummas’ there. How many teenagers can afford the prices?

haha im glad his concert went well.
LOL ahjummas… they seem to be very actively supporting the artists in japan xDD… i mean DBSK has a lot of ahjumma supporters over there…

Ha Ji Won and SS501 attended Rain’s concert, but there were more Japanese celebs than Korean ones.
According to reports, SMAP members, singer I and soccer player Miura, etc attended Rain’s concert.

Bah. The Sydney concert failed because it was so poorly organised. It was a tragedy.

i went it was the best concert ever, ive seen usher and justin and beyonce perform, but rain is something else he S***S all over them, and im not even asian

i dont think we’re really bashing on the fans, more like pointing things how they are portrayed in the photos. im sure there are plenty of young, pretty fans out there, but from only the clips/fancams/pictures ive seen either young not very pretty fans or ajumas are there. again, from what ive seen. and plenty of my friends that i know that are huge fans of korean celebrities are pretty so im not saying that everyones ugly. and the price range of bi’s concert was like 50-200 wasnt it? and i think that was the about the price range for the hollywood bowl too..so i think teens can afford it most of the time..

Rain’s ticket price is very expensive compare to other Artist. For ex in Sydney it ranged from $98 – $450 for VIP and in Singapore, I heard the VIP ticket is $800 SGD. (Note: $98 = is the worst seat ever, very far, I don’t think you’d be able to see the stage clearly!!*
That’s bloody expensive. Beyonce -Kylie VIP is only $200.00. I bought the VIP $450.00 with great hesitation at fist as it is a hell lots of money *imagine clothes that could buy
But after I’d seen Rain in Sydney and let me tell you: if he come again to Aust *which I doubted but I really hope for* I would pay $500 for VIP without hesitation whatsoever, as he is totally worth it.

It is really a shame that I am way away from all that excitements that rain is causing. But where ever he goes, he makes all fans to call his name and his country’s name. I am very proud of you Rain, as an no.1 actor and as a dynamic singer, just remeber that the future is waiting for people like you. Aja Aja FIGHTING

    Love you Rain
