Oh no, not again! Supporting actor Yuh Jae Go (37) ended his own life in his backyard and was later found by his friend yesterday. It’s not even June and we’ve reported three suicides already. What happened to the golden pig year filled with fortunes and luck? And what happened to depression prevention plans announced by management companies when U-nee and Jung Da Bin left us all suddenly? Depression is detectable and curable, so please, somebody come up with a better plan so we do not have to report another tragedy. Rest in peace Yuh Jae Go.

Back in the late 90s, taking sticker pictures with friends was so ingrained in the culture and I don’t think that there’s a single person in Korea who never stood in front of the sticker picture machine to say “kimchi.” And of course, some of our favorite celebs were also part of this sticker picture craze and it certainly shows. Why Korea can’t stop yapping about “Money Warfare”
Published May 29, 2007 Drama , Kim Jung Hwa , Park Jin Hee , Park Shin Yang , Shin Dong-wook 30 CommentsMoney Warfare is on it’s way of becoming “gook min” (national) drama. Why? First of all, it has top class actors (Park Shin Yang and Shin Don Wook) and actresses (Park Jin Hee and Kim Jung Hwa) who all look so pretty on screen and are talented enough to make you fall in love with the characters. And the story line revolving around debt, loan sharks, money and power hit the cords of many Koreans who also feel trapped in their own Money Warfare. With 28.8% Nielsen ratings - there’s no doubt in my mind that Money Warfare will become a “gook min” drama in the near future.

Puffy-eyed but sexy actor, Oh Ji-ho (31) is back in the limelight after the media hung him out to dry when his ex-girlfriend committed suicide early this year. In a recent T.V. interview, he broke down in tears as he recalled his short time off as the most difficult period of his life, adding that he never realized that love was so difficult. He will make a comeback acting in a music video. No word on a drama role, though.
