Ex H.O.T member, Kangta dozes off as the CEO of SM Entertainment, Lee Su-man gave a (boring) lecture on the Korea’s entertainment industry and company strategy to 45 Harvard MBA students at the main office in Apku. I believe that this is a cheap (?) ploy to get into the media by using “Harvard.” But I wonder if Lee Su-Man is following in the footsteps of JYP Entertainment frontman, Park Jin-young who actually stepped foot into Harvard to lecture on the Hallyu wave? Hmmm. What is Korea’s obsession about Harvard? I realize that it is the dream of every Korean parent to send their child to this prestigious university, but what about the universities in their own country? Why not give a lecture at the grad school here in Korea? Basically, what I am trying to say is that Koreans should support their own country and try not to look abroad for recognition first. I could go on about this subject, but I will stop.
I hope that SM did not pay for HBS students to come listen to this lecture in Korea. How sad would that be?

Sooo wow, this is the great(beloved) “Lee su-man”. Have heard (great)stories about him. “Lee yeon hee” so nice to see her again, she was kinda “”old ” news. Ofcourse Boa I adore, and Kangta well, cant blame him. He must be very tired or just not interested hehehe.
It’s amazing how they make all of the SM Entertainment artists seem like mere products and not as human beings. I guess, business and profits are above humanity or morality in general in the majority of the music industries around the world.
Are these pictures from the first time they visited with Harvard students or did they do it again recently? I vaguely remember BoA and Kangta doing the same thing last year.
Kangta must be tired from going back and forth from Korea-China vice versa so don’t blame him if he dozed off…lectures that go on for a while thats monotonous can make you sleepy if you are already tired, trust me on that.
I wonder if the lecture was in English or there was some translator there and yup some of the pictures looks like it was taken last year.
Wow I read the first slide that the pictures showed….did he seriously name out the productions of movies…? And label them strategic collaboration? O.o that just weirds me out. Then he called H.O.T and BoA exports…. -__-;;
Julia- it’s this year (on the 5th) but perhaps SM is using the same material. Also, a translator was used.
I don’t blame him for dozing off…I’m assuming the lecture was in English…since the slides were…so seriously who wants to hear about themselves being called exports. And if he doesn’t understand English too well - I’d fall asleep too.

i’m going to harvard and i’m korean…. but i’m also born and raised in the US
they push for harvard b/c the most prestigious university in korea is something like 93rd in the world XD unfortunately, they keep trying to use hard work + formulas instead of hard work + individual personality to get in, and harvard has begun to pick up on it (like their essays… they’re all coached to write them the same way, and at first it’s like wow, this korean kid has such a good grasp of english, but after a while, they start looking suspiciously all the same)
on the other hand, about kangta–i’d probably have fallen asleep too… i mean, i feel asleep everyday in my econ class… hankyung= :3
