Hyori is too sexy for her shirt

0617-lee-hyori6.jpg
Before going off to Ethiopia to volunteer, Hyori showed us what is means to be sexy in a naughty naughty way. She took full use of her whip on stage, making many people drop their jaws as they saw Hyori do her thang. She wasn’t shy to show her twins, in fact, she made sure that her bra/shirt accentuated her assets. I guess she wanted to top Suh In Young who showed us poll dancing at the Dream Concert, but girls, this is getting out of hand! You don’t have to show us x-rated dances to be sexy, in fact you can be sexy even with PG-13 dances.

I thought Hyori had left her sexy, skin baring days behind. As someone who can’t sing or act especially well, maybe she realised she didn’t have much else going for her.

She also might have been jealous of Ivy getting all the attention lately. Ivy too is showing more skin lately. Ahhh, they don’t stay pure for long.

well, her shows always show suggestive s*x movements. there’s nothing new in her dances. and i agrre with popseoul, why’s there a need for her to show what she can do in side her room.

  3. 3 tacho June 18, 2007 at 5:47 pm

is that a shirt? that’s obviously a bra. shocks! how can she be a lot hell of a devilish woman. can’t she be confident with her singing talent? yucks! she looks absurd, nasty, and outrageously sickening.

  4. 4 mentality34 June 18, 2007 at 5:58 pm

Uhh. She’s on that guy’s… shoulders… and basically riding him…
    Okay then..
    Speechless.

i’m guessing most ppl commenting on this article are girls, cuz well i really don’t think guys would mind. xP Also its not like she’s the first person to wear little clothing on stage. Just look at American singers. They wear less than Hyori for sure.

when i saw those pics on naver.. i didnt even want to click on the thumbnails
she’s wearing a brassiere right?(however it is spelled, i dont really care)

she’s baring too much these days..

Yeah I remember Christina Aguilara going through that dirty phase but then she changed her tune altogether and got back to her roots which was singing in a classy way. Hyori is a pretty girl but it will be time for a change.

hahah, I wouldn’t count that as a shirt!! O_O But i dont think there’s anything wrong with what she’s wearing, at least she isn’t showing her tits AND legs, now that would be bad! But she does look lyk a bit of a stripper with the whip and that hat. A lot of female celebs are becoming sexier and naughtier(not just Korean), btw does anyone else think she looks a lil chubbier, her stomach is normally soooooooo TONED! ^_^

im getting tired of the “slut” act

  10. 10 Manuel June 19, 2007 at 2:51 am

Why is it that in korea, koreans accept it when a white or non-korean girl dresses or dances like this (eg. brittany, madonna), but the minute a korean girl does it, everyone labels her a slut and whore, and thinks so bad of her. This society truly needs to modernize and catch up to the rest of the modern world in terms of narrowmindedness and judgmental attitudes. She is an entertainer, and I’m sure many many people were entertained, good voice or not.

  11. 11 Narae June 19, 2007 at 2:55 am

they have a lot to learn from Ivy!

  12. 12 jazz June 19, 2007 at 4:46 am

i think they accept Madonna and Brittany since they assume that’s how American entertainers are supposed to act. Koreans don’t care how others act since they’re not Korean.

But when a Korean barely dresses up, I guess it’s kind of suprising. You wouldn’t really expect a Korean to act like that.

  13. 13 dust bunny June 19, 2007 at 8:19 am

    Good point Manuel.

Koreans expect western women to be act like sluts, but they don’t expect their own women too. Pathetic

    “conservative” koreans. how stereotypical.

  15. 15 selina June 19, 2007 at 9:55 am

    ew
    she looks messed.

  16. 16 jiwoo June 19, 2007 at 10:35 am

hyori is one of those hot blessed koreans..she is baring a lot though..its turning into a competition in korea..is it just me or is she also gaining some weight?

  17. 17 ed June 19, 2007 at 11:43 am

true about the double standard for korean vs. american entertainers. but is it really liberation when a female singer sells her act with 99% sex & 1% talent? maybe if she were sexy AND an innovative singer/musician at the same time, people won’t focus on the “slut” so much? …but i have to admit some of her choreography is quite good.

  18. 18 Christie June 19, 2007 at 12:00 pm

    Female stars these days…
There’s a difference between being sexy and slutty.
Hyori would have looked fine if she just kept her jacket ON and whip OFF. xD

  19. 19 han June 19, 2007 at 12:38 pm

    oh.my.god
i thought she was better than that
    =/

  20. 20 taboo June 19, 2007 at 1:25 pm

she’s whorish. but koreans always claim they are conservative people. korean singers just have to behave the way they should. they aren’t westerners. they’re just making abortion more popular where sex is taboo to talk about in their country with their overrated dance (or sex-)movement. so ridiculous.

  21. 21 dust bunny June 19, 2007 at 6:59 pm

the “conservative” image of Korea is just a flimsy facade for a chauvinistic country obsessed with sex.

Here is a game for those in Korea, look out the window of a tall building with a decent view of the surrounding buildings.

If you CAN’T see an erotic massage parlour, room salon, porno pc room, karaoke with women for hire, you have to do 50 push ups. Now if that sounds harsh, remember the chances of this actually happening are slim to none.

  22. 22 Ally June 20, 2007 at 11:46 am

Come on, Koreans are of course going to follow and do what American singers do. Even if they’re not Americans, that doesn’t really stop Lee Hyori, does it? If they act like sluts to get famous, let them. Who cares how they dress or what they do. They know they’re going to get more attention by dressing or dancing a certain way. I’m sure they’ll ask your opinion first before doing any disgraceful acts.

  23. 23 Reetho July 4, 2007 at 2:01 pm

=’/ and to think that Asian women were to be more reserved than that………!

  24. 24 Bee July 5, 2007 at 5:34 am

I’m tired of all these comments that only american western singers dance and sign like a whore. How ridiculous all of you sound. Talk about double standard. Pretty soon your going to tell me all these korean female singers are still virgins and never had sex.

Listen most of these female singers you all are talking about are like what in their middle to late 20’s. If they have no problem dressing like they do and performing like they are why should you pass judgement on them. I mean that is the choice they made they have to live with it. It’s obvious their management company had no problem with the way they dressed or else they would of stopped them. It not like Hyori is still back in the days when she was with Finkl. Give her and these woman a break. It’s the choice they made and if it back fires on them oh well they will have to live with it.

Now I will say one thing if that performance was on Music Bank I would be a little concerned. Especially the demographic (audience) is usually girls 12 years and younger. I sure would not want my daughter watching something like that. If I seen my 12 and under daughter or son watching something like that I would turn off the tv.

  25. 25 Arts1412 July 5, 2007 at 10:24 am

stop sounding so bitter towards a bit of showmanship. yes they look good, and yes the show some skin but name calling is not the way to go. this site seems to be severely biased against the bits of “dirty dancing” seen by these performers. My question is.. whats the deal? Is someone on the blogging team jealous or is there an actual point to be made here. I don’t think they would be doing it if they weren’t selling tickets. So apparently majority rules here, this stuff is being liked. Don’t be so conservative and try to see it as a trend that naturally passes with time. Korea may or may not be conservative, but this kind of negative attitude will only promote false illusions that women should be angelic dolls. My word of advice to the bloggers of this site. Calm down, its not that serious to warrant all this bashing. If you don’t like it, keep it to yourself and move on; “whore”, “stripper”, “slut”, aren’t casual words to be thrown around in reference to these hard working performers who actually have the talent and confidence in themselves to perform to thousands in their outfits, before you begin to criticize, I ask you to try it yourself first.

  26. 26 Con gái July 5, 2007 at 12:00 pm

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with this. It’s just entertainment. and she’s an entertainer. no big deal. So what? sex sells. so what? wake up.

How else would Rain sell those tickets without showing some skins? you think people are coming to hear him sings? same with Hyori Lee. People are coming to SEE her. It’s better for them to get their money’s worth.

  27. 27 mike August 16, 2007 at 11:26 am

I agree people are just too judgemental of Hyori. Listen to you Hyori Haters you dont even know her so dont judge her.Hyori is not like that it just entertainment thats all off stage she is nice easy going intelligent and hardworking woman she finished college so she is not dumb bimbo.

  28. 28 bobae September 7, 2007 at 10:01 am

pshh!!! I knew it all along…her innocent? my ass…
if people think sexy is stripping off stage and having barely nothing on then you must be pervs…
This is dirty and not idol material…she’s just asking for it and quit frankly she’s been thinkin she’s the shit…it’s ridiculous….her being classy? If she thinks this is classy then she must be in another world…this is exactly why I don’t think people should look up to her or any other celeb that does this stuff….so OVERRATED!!

  30. 30 blaaaaaaaa December 30, 2007 at 9:57 am

to those pple who believe this is ok …if ur a gurl or if u have a sister would it be ok for u to go half naked just to earn money and fame??? so ur saying that its ok to sell a woman’s body like tha?? singing is art but even art has to have certain elegance to it….hyori is an artist but she needs to learn to act as an artist not a prostitute…i truely pitty those who use their bodies instead of their brains and talent to succeed in their lives….a woman’s body shouldn’t be a product to sell… its something that we should protect and value

  31. 31 xoxo January 29, 2008 at 8:58 am

Wow….what an effing whore. Way to provoke the rapists and future prostitutes in Korea.
