Kim taehee is the perfect beauty

songhyegyo.jpg

Years ago, I watched a documentary on Discovery on the golden ratio of beauty (1.61) and was fascinated by the concept that the perception of beauty was universal. The mask was placed over faces from different cultures and those that were considered beautiful happen to fit the proportions of the mask. Well, living in Korea, the interest in beauty is all the more stronger here since beautiful people can almost get away with murder. This national obsession with beauty is the basis of a recent KBS 1 TV documentary on the subject. The mask was placed over Korean faces and guess who represents the golden ratio? None other than the gorgeous Kim Taehee. However, I’m sure that she is not the only one. My bet is also on Hwangini star, Song Hye-kyo and 3rd runner up of Miss Universe, Honey Lee.

The golden ratio is nothing new. Plastic surgeons have been using the ratio as a guide for creating the perfect beauty.

If you are curious, try the mask yourself.

I’ve read a similar analysis whereby they look at face symmetry. Guess it is the same concept.

That explains why Kim Tae Hee looks so attractive – her face fits the mask so well!

Surgery will pave the way for a future with barbie-like figures and no physical individuality whatsoever.

Not to be pessimistic, but I don’t need a bunch of lines to determine who is beautiful and who is not. It’s an interesting concept though.

kim taehee is a pretty gurl… but there’s just something not right about her. i don’t know what it is or how to explain… song hyegyo is aesthetically more proportionate imho.

i saw another version of that document in psychology class in hs. and angelina jolie has the perfect face. kim tae hee is pretty but her big eyes in stairway to heavens throws me off plus her character was a bitch. but kth is a good actress and pretty. shk is my fav.

Mei your comment was spot on. I think too many times we try to measure beauty and it is subjective. I think we need to focus on young girl’s self esteem by buiding up their intellectual capacity. We try to hard to measure up to things that one cant measure up to and then when we dont feel like failures.

i agree that some people are seen as naturally pretty just by the second you look at them, but i also believe that beauty exists in practically everyone and that its based on opinions, beliefs and confidence.
If people feel the need to be “officially beautiful” and have surgery…one day the earth will be full of skinny identical barbies…and the human uniqueness will become extinct.. >

    i don’t think there’s such thing as PERFECT BEAUTY~

  11. 11 syah June 19, 2007 at 10:07 am

haha you know this is just a theory thought up by a human.

other than KTH, KBS1 sent in pics of Lee Yeong Ae and Han Ga In as well and they fitted perfectly with the Golden Ratio as well :)

Kim Tae Hee is indeed beautiful…

It’s SONG HYE GYO all the way. The epitome of perfect beauty. Look how refreshing her face is and immaculately clean. She could run off with any kind of face, with or without make-up she’s creditably perfect.

Haha, no surprise there. She is freakishly beautiful! I would like to try the mask myself, only, I don’t think I wouldn’t be happy with the results so never mind! ;-D

yeah, i was able to watch that documentary in Discovery Channel.

Elizabeth Hurley was in it. Betty Boop, i remember, was close to symmetrical..

No wonder, Kim Tae Hee has a very natural beauty. I love her eyes.

i’ve read of it in a magazine. it’s an interesting concept but like one of the poster i dont need a line to tell me who’s pretty,’beauty is in the eye of the beholder,’ it’s subjective, no such thing as beauty line.. (body line on the other hand…i believe)
