As you can see from the picture, Shoo is suffering from plastics overdose. I’m not sure why she chose to go down the dangerous road of plastics, since she was really pretty when she debuted as a member of SES back in the days. Perhaps Bada convinced Shoo to go under the knife so they can get a package deal. Whatever the reason was, she made the wrong decision. Her nose is melting so rapidly that she’ll soon look like Michael Jackson’s long lost sister. In addition, the giant double eye-lid makes her look robotic and lets not forget about the extra extra pointy or as the media loves to call it “V” lined face. Somebody get this girl some help! Not only does she need psychological help, but she also needs a surgeon to reverse the damage she caused herself.

i personally think that single eyelids (what ever u call it) are pretty…i mean as long as u can balance it out wid eye-shadow then its all good…ur eyes can pop out as long as u apply the right make-up. making ur eyes standout and looks open and like ur wake…all natural..its not that hard…n especially if ur a celeb u have the advantage because the best make-ups are avaible to u first..soo…why get double eyelid surgery…
if i was a celeb…i wouldnt want to get it done because i dont want to look like everyone else..how are people going to differentiate me from the rest..if we all look alike…people remember u because of ur talent and looks…if u are unique then u will standout in a crowd…so as a celeb…if u want to succeed wouldnt u want to obtained that uniqueness..instead of blending in.?…

People I think we have to understand image is everything and a celebrity really cant have an off day. Inner beauty is a great concept if we are living in a utopian society but unfortunately we live in a visual society and looks are everything even if you lack talent, looks can take you to the quarter point. Females moreso than males have a tremendous amount of pressure to look good. Its not a option,its a requirement

^^ that’s true, and it also depends on what kind of career you want to have. if shoo has no talents to accompany her old looks (that just scream “earthy folk singer/enchanted flower-child” to me), then her other option is to be a manufactured Perfect Pop Idol…which she has become! but this visual culture, reaching the quarter point, etc. how long does it last?
maybe it’s a question of choice: have a larger fanbase for very brief number of years — before you run out of looks, number of image/fashion change (hyori’s innocent/slutty/whatever cycles)? and your teen fans outgrow your fluffy image and pursue substance you didn’t build.
OR, have a lower-profile, small fanbase, but build on talent over time and have lots of musical knowledge/skills to show at the end? there are artists like that who release one album every 3-4 years, live on the fringe (of record company grooming), but highly respected/inspirational. they probably don’t own a lot of designer labels, porsche, and hottest idol lovers on their speed-dial, tho:P
Popseoul…you really need to consider like writing a book on this. Or just have a online database Because it seems like and epidemic. Like in Hollywood people get Plastic Surgery all the time but its never to the point where the person cannot be recognizable anymore unless its by choice…like Michael Jackson. Really you should seriously consider doing one…seriously. SO the people can look back and see what they did to themselves or allowed to happen to themselves.
before i started reading ur blog, i was never conscious of which artist has her/his face done or not. when i thought one is pretty, that was it. BUT now, i could not help but having second thoughts of whether the beauty is natural or surgery. like when i see them in tv, i would go “oh, her lips is perfect, her nose is pointy, does she have surgery?”
i also have double eyelid. seeing how the celebs dying to go under the knife to get one, i could not help (again) but thinking, they sure would die to have eyes like me! =P

shoo’s eye-job does look a bit overdone in these new pics. Its probably fault of an untalented surgeon or perhaps she wanted it done that way. I know people who had their eyes widened too much, and are unable to completely close their eyes. When they sleep they have to tape their eyes shut.

funny thing was, she was the prettiest one of the bunch back in the SES. Bada was booty looking then, and booty looking now. the only normal one is Eugene and she’s cute. sometimes you should leave good enough alone and live with what God gave you.

i have a theory that the vast majority of korean people suffer from serious body dysmorphia. that and serious “keeping up wif the joneses” and insecurity issues. its a society wide problem because the society as a whole demands perfection and youth and beauty. korean people are unrealistic in their expectations. brazilians are a close second tho…
here’s the deal: if your facial BONE structure is not proportionate to begin with, no amount of plastic surgery will make you “prettier”. for example, if your eyes are set too close, getting double eye lids won’t make you prettier – your eye sockets in your skull have determined that. classic example is jun hyebin. she’s STILL UGLY post-op because her facial structure is not proportionate to what we normally perceive to be beautiful. same if you have a long face like lee moonsae – you can’t make your skull smaller.
here’s a helpful hint for you noobs – just assume korean celebs, both male and female have done at LEAST 2 procedures done. eyes, and nose. why? based on percentage, less than 25% of korean people have natural double-eyelids and even less have slender noses. in other words, faces like oh jiho and song hyegyo are rare natural occurances for 100% koreans. koreans by nature have big flat faces, flat noses and single eyelids. its as simple as that.

I think Shoo got her nose done right before S.E.S. released their 4.5 Surprise album. I noticed her nose seemed a lot different but I think her old nose was so cute! Plus, she got the eyelid surgery after the group disbanded and now she just looks weird T_T
She’s an adult now, she can make her own decisions. No one can really determine if they’ll look better after surgery or not. Not every operation is successful. If having her eyes cut up and her nose broken and rearranged makes her happy then so be it.
