Is Park Hyo-shin wearing makeup?

0629-parkhyoshin.jpg

Yes, it looks like singer Park Hyo-shin has slapped on a bit of foundation to smooth out his complexion – unless his face looks plasticky all the time. But don’t mind the makeup though, he probably went straight to the Club Monaco Fashion Show from the studio, so he had to wear coverup. And check out the hair – the man is rocking the asymmetric look. However, I can’t get over the nose. There is something about the nose that bothers me- it just looks too high and too fake. Have you ever seen a person who had so much plastic surgery, you can’t look at them straight in the face? Well I have. There is something about them that doesn’t seem human – more like artificial. And Hyo-shin seems like one of those people. But then again, perhaps it’s just me?

all celebrities wear makeup (females/males), get over it. you should have centered your title around the fact that he possibly had surgery on his nose, cause thats what everyones commenting about anyways.

it’s no surprise that he wore makeup. They all do. And about his nose…who cares if he had surgery, he’s definitely not the only one with plastics. I like his hair style.

  14. 14 Eve June 30, 2007 at 7:48 am

i love his songs..never noticed the nose but man is it weird.

  15. 15 st June 30, 2007 at 7:49 am

he already had a pointy nose before his new look…I don’t know why everyone is like obsessing over it. I tried comparing to see if they were any different…all I could definately tell was that he got eyelid surgery, and that he lost a lott of weight. plus his music is more important than his looks, so I don’t mind even if he did get surgery. (I just noticed but his facial expression doesn’t help much either, because he’s like pulling his mouth down, making his nose look…more sharp)

you seriously need to do some homework and start
    posting something worthwhile because
    this is reaching.
“NEWS FLASH: a celebrity wearing make up to a media event!”
isn’t all that eye-opening or even shocking.

From the angles I am seeing his nose from, I’d say it might be natural? Some people naturally have high, funny-looking noses (not to offend anyone).

Ohhhh and here I am always wondering why Korean celebs seems to not have visible pores. Is it the foundation? or the climate?

  20. 20 Mona July 1, 2007 at 3:59 pm

Uh, his nose was always like that. I think it’s the sheen of his skin that’s throwin us off.

  21. 21 jen July 2, 2007 at 2:26 pm

    mona, you’re right.
he always did have a pretty Caucasian looking nose.

I don’t appreciate him copying Tamaki Hiroshi’s(Chiaki Sempai from Nodame Cantabile) old hairstyle LOL

  23. 23 jane July 4, 2007 at 10:13 am

im fine with him wearing make up..just as long as he doesn’t wear pounds and pounds of it!

    i love his hair.

  24. 24 Jacque July 4, 2007 at 11:52 pm

love the hair…love everything about him..i dont really care if he had surgery or puts on makeup..because he wanted to do those..and he’s satisfied so that’s all that matters…

  25. 25 malljclay July 8, 2007 at 9:51 am

i dont really know who this is…
    but i likey the hair

  26. 26 Ll 7l July 14, 2007 at 5:52 am

My reply may be late for this particular article, but ever since his first album and even before that, he’s had a high nose. There’s no doubt that he had double-eyelid surgery, but no matter how hard I study his face, his nose looks the same as it did before…even looking at his school pictures, his nose has always been high and plastified” looking. I don’t think that it helps that his complexion is smooth, pale, and shiny/oily that adds to him looking plastic, but to me, his nose is the same nose in his younger pictures, but that is COMPLETELY my opinion.

  27. 27 pj24 July 15, 2007 at 10:15 pm

i think the reason his nose seems to not fit his face anymore is because of his chin, he has always had that weid high nose, but his chin has been puched out more. He used to have a smaller chin that didn’t make his nose look so wierd.BUT the man can sing!!!!

  28. 28 Tanya August 23, 2007 at 4:27 pm

Look at the pictures from his earlier albums and earlier performances, his nose was always slightly raised. The fact that he’s wearing oversized sunglasses could easily skew our idea of the proportions of his face. Have a good series of photographs that show his face unframed by anything and then we’ll talk.

Hrm, I usually won’t start guestimating as to how much make-up a person is wearing unless I can see the image at superbly high resolution, or if the person’s in front of me. Glossy skin could be caused by anything – spot or indoor lighting, white surroundings “bouncing” back unnatural light (such as the white t-shirts?), and everything else in the environment. Hard to say, really.

  29. 29 Tanya August 23, 2007 at 4:30 pm

Oh, I ought to mention — that hair? Gorgeous. At least, from the side views. I wonder if the front view might make his face a little too round at the top of the cheeks. Not sure if this cut really goes with that ballad-image I’ve got hardwired as “Hyo Shin-only”, I’ve always liked the long hair look.

  30. 30 lasagna May 18, 2008 at 2:23 pm

damn.. you guys on popseoul are mean, I think he looks gorgeous, theres nothing wrong with his looks. plastic surgery… who cares, its ok as long as he looks goods, man i want his looks too, and his hairstyle is always super cool especially his long and straight hairdo

  31. 31 Jesika November 19, 2008 at 1:37 pm

You people are weird with the noise comments, his nose looks the same just smaller…maybe…but considering all the weight he lost his face would look different anyway. Boy I guess when you admit to having one thing done people just run wild, plus I have a noise that’s high like that and I’m too broke to have paid for it. but I do hate how so many Kpop dudes wear as much make-up as girls. regardless the man is one of the strongest and most talented voices and that’s more important than him looking whatever.

  32. 32 melodicxxheartz November 9, 2009 at 1:32 pm

    He’s always had that nose.
Maybe you should take into consideration the fact that he’s lost a lot of weight…the face is the area where weightloss is most obvious…but..he’s gotten so thin his face is almost gaunt.
Of course his nose looks different.
But..it’s the same as it’s always been.

And about his eyelids..he admitted to having double eye-lid surgery at one of his concerts so….

Geesh..kudos to all the effin’ celebrities in the world out there.
I must suck to be under the scrutiny of people who are no more greater than them.

    His voice is amazing.
Why can’t this be the focus alone?

    ….
    PHS!
    Fighting~
