Thai fans, stop stalking Battle!

0702-battle.jpg
Battle aka 2nd generation Shinhwa was stalked by die-hard Thai fans back in May. According to these six Shinhwa wannabes, they found pictures of themselves along with the note saying “We know everywhere you go. I hope you enjoy your nights here in Thailand!” (우리는 당신들이 가는 곳을 다 알고 있다. 태국에서 즐거운 밤을 보내길 바란다) on their bed. How freaky! They asked the hotel security to check the security cameras, but nothing was found. I think there are only two possible explanations. Either these stalkers are very high tech who can meddle with security cameras or they are hotel employees. Whoever they are, they better learn to back off. When will these die-hard fans will get a sense of reality and start behaving normal?

With all these stories I read, I’m not sure I’d ever want to be famous in Asia. I mean, gosh… The standard Asian fan is a full-blown stalker. What about the BAD fans? I wouldn’t even wanna know. -shudders-

I totally agree with Dez. Leading people to commit suicide…crazy stalking…no way would I want to be famous in Asia.

    LOL…that sounds awesome.

I don’t know if you’re defending Battle or insulting them, but I’d say both.

Your comment on the stalkers is defending them, yet calling them “Shinhwa wannabes” is insulting. Because I mean… Shinhwa picked out these members. So they’re technically “Shinhwa-wants-them-to-be-second-generation-Shinhwas” although that makes no sense. xD

    People really are abnormal lately.

yay for popseoul! i actually found your comments about them being “Shinhwa Wannabes” amusing. i am biased though, cause i absolutely love Shinhwa and have no intentions of liking Battle..though i must admit some of them are pretty hot. fans these dayss..

i kinda found this article to be amusing. but seriously, hope they are safe and stuff. fangirls are crazy..i know cause i’m one of em. lol.

Definitely the stalkers applied as a housekeeping lady!!

Why label them as Shinhwa wannabes? They were chosen to be Shinhwa prodigy for the mean time since Shinhwa will take so long to reproduce their actual prodigy (babies) and train them to dance and sing like they are.

    Please. Be Serious.

It is not insulting to either call these Shinhwa-wannabes Shinhwa-wannabes when a dozen or so other groups are also Shinhwa-wannabes.
It’s useless to point out something from a popseoul post as “insulting.” They hardly care.
I find it is more enticing to attack the psychological well-being of the writers themselves. Case in point, S-Line Wannabes.

i never even heard of this group, but what I find weird is how much they all look alike.

  14. 15 junsufan July 3, 2007 at 9:01 am

    ^ :D that’s what i thought at first..they do look kinda alike..
well..nothing new..lol..especially if u see how fans stalk dbsk..

  18. 19 Kkachi July 3, 2007 at 4:21 pm

I love the fact that a Korean has the balls to write this sentence and to be completely oblivious of the irony:

“When will these die-hard fans will get a sense of reality and start behaving normal?”

Korean fans drove a girl to suicide after seeing her with a picture of a singer they liked.

Korean fans stuffed the electronic ballot boxes of Time magazine to push a Korean singer to the top spot.

Korean fans on more than one occasion have crashed the websites of sporting events because their athlete lost.

And you have the balls to tell Thai fans to get a sense of reality!

that IS creepy… but then again, the members of battle aren’t the only ones who have to deal with it. i feel like boybands have it the worst, for some reason. i watched some show with dbsk, and the members talked about their fans….. PSYCHO. seriously.

  20. 21 xRukiax July 3, 2007 at 11:46 pm

its psychotic how far young girls can do as die-hard fans. i mean, what do their parents say when they value their idol more than getting an education.
and these PSYCHOS who can actually drive someone to suicide without feeling guilty or just showing fake guiltyness, deserves to burn in HELL for all eternity…
it makes me sick reading what these die-hard fans do…

    Kkachi, we meet again.

I dont think Popseoul ever said thai-fans, she said die-hard fans. or maybe im becoming blind? yes, she wrote an article about the actions of thai fans, but it doesnt automatically implicate that that quote was directed to solely thai fans. Popseoul is probably generalizing ALL die hard fans, Thai or Korean. if you read the article about the die-hard SUJU fans that DROVE the girl to suicide, Popseoul was disgusted with them as well. she never once mentioned that crazy Korean fans were better, or whatever. assuming that Popseoul is a girl, sorry Kkachi. she doesnt have balls, she has a vagina. excuse my language.

  22. 23 popseoul July 4, 2007 at 12:57 am

jane =] – you can be almost be our spokesperson

Kkachi – I was referring to ALL die-hard fans. I didn’t intend to single out Thai fans since crazy fans are everywhere!

I’m glad that I never boarded the train of celebrity obsessiveness.

  24. 25 aimoon210 July 4, 2007 at 4:30 pm

  25. 26 Con gái July 5, 2007 at 12:04 pm

that’s scary. i’m getting shivers. i’m a fan of a lot of Korean stars like Rain, DBSK, Super Junior, Hyori Lee..etc. but I would NEVER do anything that crazy

  26. 27 mingzhu July 5, 2007 at 2:59 pm

omg, that’s freaky. It’s like something out of a psycho killer movie. “I know your every move. I know when you breathe… I can see you running your hands through your hair right now..”

    Skreem!! DX

  27. 28 SJ forever August 8, 2007 at 8:39 pm
