Jung Il-woo was in a car accident while he was traveling with his friend Lee Min-ho last August. As a result, Jung fractured his left arm, dislocated his shoulder and cracked his left thigh bone. However, instead of undergoing all the necessary treatment, he opted to start filming the hit sit-com series High Kick. Consequently, his left arm didn’t heal correctly and has to undergo another surgery, but they are putting that off until the end of the year since he is expected to show up at the set of the movie Ghost Hunter.
Is it just me or does this report seem fishy to you? If the accident happened last August, why are they reporting it now? If he was undergoing surgery this month, then I would understand it, but his plans for surgery is at the end of the year. Something seems very off here and many netizens are theorizing that this is Jung’s subtle way setting up his medical records to avoid his army duties. Hopefully that wasn’t the reason, but Jung Il-woo is in the hot seat these days, especially with his recent locker room sel-ca incident.

well, driving in korea is… crazy. seriously, i saw some old man selling bbung ti gi in the middle of a highway, everyone switches lanes like crazy, almost everyone has horrible road rage, and there are 4 lanes trying to get into a 1 lane round highway thing (and those 3 lanes aren’t even lanes, they just stick close and try to get in). oh and almost no one lets you cut them. or begins the road rage. seriously, i’m suprised i didnt see that many car crashes while i was there.
they want to avoid army as long as possible, for if they go in, the time inside could KILL their $$ worth…
well first of all, noone KNOWS for sure, if he’s doing this to avoid military service. maybe his company is planning to, or theyre not. so im not going to assume anything, but i have to same question.
whats up with all these celebrity car accidents? that would be a better article. anywho, i heard driving in china was crazy too. i personally know this ajushi i was close with that died there (car crash) while he was in a business trip. and several other people that attend my church died there too..asia is a scary place for driving, i guess? but its especially bad in korea (i dont know about other places in asia) cause the streets are narrow, and everyones crazy. the only time ill admit that most koreans are stubborn is when theyre on the ROAD (especially my uncle, he curses almost everytime hes in the car). seriously, everyone should be more careful.
I agree with you, it IS way too fishy. Plus, not offense, but who would be stupid enough to ignore all these injuries especially after a car accident to film a sitcom? And I also agree with jane =] because what’s with all the car crashes in Seoul? If all the stories about celebs involved in car crashes are true, there must be broken glass and popped tires all over the highways in Korea.

I’m asian and I think there could be some truth to the ol’ stereotype – “asians are poor drivers”. Although there are bad drivers in every country, it seems to me that most reckless drivers are concentrated in asia. I don’t have a theory right now but I do agree with some of the ones mentioned already.
Are you sure this happened last August? I read another article that said it was on the 9th (didn’t specify month but I assumed it was July since it was posted on the 10th.)

He’s pretty….but if you think about it, a lot of people have been having accidents lately in Asia…that pretty girl in taiwan who was killed in the mini at the age of 28, and there’s the suju accident that had my baby KyuHyun in the accident and now this, even tho it was last year…still…how bad do people drive over there???

I don’t think we should take this so seriously, it is just a picture of himself, a point of view taking it. I bet he didn’t do it purposely to take someone else’s butt in a bathhouse which is a opened area to the people who are there. He is cute and hard working these days!!! fighting!
