Are we surprised? Of course not! First of all, nobody was excited about the show and second, Kim Mi Ryu’s crying incident on Mnet countdown was perceived as a staged stunt among potential viewers, loosing the show’s credibility. But, there’s one positive outcome from this poorly executed reality show and it’s finding out about Kim Mi Ryu’s unexpected musical talent. The girl’s got potential and I honestly believe that if she works at it, she might actually be successful. Like me, many are surprised by Kim’s talent, but many are still upset about the staged crying incident. Do you think that she’ll be successful as a singer?
I have to say, she is pretty good. Sounds a bit like jessica simpson at some parts.

I’m surprised myself, I didn’t think she’d be as good. I like this way better than the performance that Yang-pa did on Love Letter(o_0) If she does a CD I might support it.

why would sheget SO upset over that when shes a GAGWOMEN. she makes fun of her own age in her fawkin CF she did. -___- people always made jokes about her age before this. obviously it was a publicity stunt. i felt sorry for seo in young and ma gyuri who got bashed on by the stupid idiotic netizens.
on the other note she has a voice thats full and powerful. just dont sing american songs with that huge accent.
when that clip was first released on daum there were countless amount of views but not many comments. the commentsthat were left were saying how that incident was stupid.

I wonder if people are going to be willing to look past the show to give her a real chance…But she’s definitely got talent (obviously the singing in English isn’t the best of the best, but nowadays that’s an easy fix)

in comparison to other korean women singers, she has a very strong voice that isn’t annoying. and who really cares about that accent when she’s singing in english anyway? as long as she can sing the right notes! anyways, i think she’s pretty good.

She has talent. I’ve never heard of her or the show until this “article” so I don’t have any biases. She can probably become a singer but her success will be limited since, as stated earlier, Koreans are very visually oriented. Her accent wasn’t too distracting. She’ll do well in the R&B genre of music (as well as other R&B singers who aren’t good-looking enough to attract a load of fans, that is).

i agree their is a big emphasis on appearance nowadays but when someone is talented well… appearance should come in second. she will be great as a singer. maybe if all the hype is on her looks she should start by singing songs for movies and dramas so her music is known first.
