When I first heard Black Pearl’s debut song (좋은걸 어떻게) my initial reaction was “is this Seeya or Black Pearl?” And the same thought crossed my mind when I saw their MV. They are basically Seeya clones plus one. Don’t get me wrong, Black Pearl girls have the talent, but they need to find a way to distinguish themselves from Seeya if they want to become the next R&B sensations. Wearing darker clothes and trying to build the more mature image won’t cut it. Hopefully the producers already figured this out and is preparing us for a surprise. Do you think that Black Pearl will outdo Seeya?

Wow, they do really sound exactly like See Ya!!! OMG!!! Ö.Ö And there music style with that MV… Wow, sounds like See Ya. For one moment I really thought I was See Ya cause their MV does tell a good story and not the singers lipsyncing in the video which is very typical for See Ya & SG Wannabe. Really good these girls ^-^ Hope to see them more often in Korean showbiz hehe XDDD
No they don’t. This is more pop while SeeYa is more mid-tempo ballad.
Anyway, I’m pretty sure SeeYa members are tense with this new competition.
holy moly the song sounds like one of see ya’s songs and the story i don’t get much since i know no korean -_-,but im still kinda of interest in them so i’ll stick around =]
hmm actually this song sounds more “lighter” than seeya’s songs. also, i think that seeya has more controlled voices. but they’re pretty good for newcomers and i’m sure they’ll get better as they make more albums or singles. i’ll just have to wait and hear them sing live before making any real assumptions.

they all look the same to me. every girl in every girl group in kpop-land. lets go for a new look? hire some different plastic surgeons?? anything to kill the monotony.

they do sound good. ohh and that guy. he’s from “He Was Cool” the guy who carried around a missile and got his butt kicked by Song Seung Hoon. I freaking love that movie.
i think they have softer voices than seeya. but when seeya came out i was like is this “sg wannabe or seeya” hahahah. i think seeya and black pearl are trying too much to be like sg wannabe. the song is good. i’m just glad it’s not all cutsy like most girl bands.
too bad they won’t be coming close to big mama though. no girl band can out do big mama.
i was afraid of that :\ i respect SeeYa as talented singers, but god damn, they bore the hell out of me. I’m not much of a ballad person in the first place, but their image doesn’t help matters either – that sweeter-than-thou girl next door thing D; At least Black Pearl have a little edge there.

They are from the same entertainment co. as Seeya so no comparison…just another group with differ name and possibly better songs.
They’re prettier… I’ll give ‘em that. But I don’t think their voices are as strong, nor do they seem to flow together as well. But we’ll see. i mean it’s only their first single (but then again, SeeYa wowed me and Korea as well with their first single, and then some). But SeeYa’s second album didn’t do as much justice (I guess I just really like them ballad-y and I was really leaning on them for my ballad mood) as their first one. So, I guess I’ll look out for Black Pearl as my back up if I dont grow on SeeYa’s second album (keep them in mind, and give them another chance).

Except for the fact that they don’t rap, they remind me more of BEG than SeeYA. Anyway, good single, but not as good as Scent of a Woman IMO. And I can’t tell if they are prettier just yet. Only the 1st and 3rd girl look appealing, and even then, I can’t really see their face. Looks like there’s a lot of photoshopping going on. Nice outfits though.

nahh, see ya is wayy too better, i have loved seeya since they debuted and when thier voices gives me the goosebumps! LOL coz seeya has really strong and yes controlled voices. this,, black pearl sounds too pop-ish and seeya is really more balladish~ and good song but not very good like seeya heehee~

nope, nope, black pearl isn’t as good as seeya. seeya has more controlled and experianced voices. and their music videos are better. and for the vocal part, they don’t go smoothly form one singer to another. they go from a low voice to high then back to low which makes it souind very confusing.
i think that they are really good at singers, i dont believe that they are beginners… i think as time goes on, they could get better than seeya… but then as time goes, seeya does get better too… you never know, i guess that who ever works harder toward that goal can get there… they both are i think the 2 best singing groups.. cause other cant do live, and make it as good as these two… i think no matter whos better, these two will be in the top 2..
