August 1 was the comeback date for DBSK and debut date for SS501. It seemed rather odd for two Korean boy-bands to release their album at the same time in Japan, but it turned out to be a lucky day for both groups. DBSK kicked off their 12th single by ranking #1 in the Oricon charts and SS501 was close behind at #5 with their debut single.
Perhaps some famous fortune teller predicted that August 1 was the best date to release albums in Japan for identical looking boy-bands with five pretty boys? Who knows, but we wish these two boy-bands luck with their future quest to dominate the Oricon charts in Japan.

All the Koreans singer DO NOT try to go to Japan.. HAHA.. people are so.. childish. Just because a handful of them do.. it doesn’t make it ALL.. It’s for very obvious reasons and the same reasons why they go all over to OTHER countries in Asia and even America: MONEY MONEY..more fans = more MONEY. and more power in the industry. Japan bc it’s very convenient location-wise.. right next to korea.. easy for them to go back and forth like it’s only a few towns away from where they live. Also Japan is also a developed (rich) nation (not that many in Asia) except it is about 5 times bigger in size with a much much MUCH bigger population than Korea.. so more people who will buy their albums.

anyways… i LOVE ss501’s Kokoro!!!!!!!!!!! BUT dbsk’s vid & song .. i find it soooo alike to many of their other songs.
It was only recently that I found that DBSK was doing this well in Japan. I’m happy for them. Though I still think their Japanese accent needs some work… it’s odd how it’s harder to understand them even when they’re speaking slower because they aren’t used to it.
All in all, I do have more respect for boy bands from Korea than in Japan. I can’t stand Johnny Entertainment music (<-reference to Japanese pop culture).
Now… if only Koreans had what Japan likes to call Visual Kei… Maybe Korea can start their own little Gazette-like band. (I can dream big, yes I can.)

DBSK is awesome <3 As for SS501, they are also one of my favorite bands, along with Paran and Super Junior. Even the news is “old”, I am glad that they are both doing well!

DBSk has already set the bar for all boybands. SS501 is trying too hard to compete with directly with them. They’re not respected as good artists and they’re pursuing popularity and that’s why they’re not as popular. Besides. DBSk has vocal super strength and they have amazing live performances.
I can’t hear the difference between ss501’s voices but there are huge differences in each DBSK members voices.
You know i tried to get into SS501 but their looks and sound can NEVER compare to DBSK!! they are my ABSOLUTE FAV!! and i have to disagree with some of you!! i really liked their summer dream mv!! with the silly dances, i thought it really showed their cute dorky side!! but SS501 wants to overthrow DBSK in Japan and i think that might be a bit easier for them this time seeing that DBSK is going back to KOREA for their 4th korean album!~! its supposed to be out in September!! DBSK are way way way better-looking than SS501… in my opinion. All the SS501 guys look the SAME well, like 3 of them do. But, all the DBSK members have uniquely good-looking and distinguishable faces. i didn’t hear ss501 sing but the entertainment world emphasizes looks alot and is a major factor for attracing fans so… but I wish it wasn’t like that. I wish importance of ability was > looks

Well it’s going to be Dong Bang Shin Ki because they can dance, sing, and they have the best looking boys in this whole entire world!! (especially Xiah Junsu)He has the greatest smile of man kind and he has a very very unique voice. I love listening to his voice. Hero has the best smile and hair! Micky Yoochun is so handsome but he is really not my type.(sorry)U-Know Yunho is great at everything especially dancing!! Max Chanmin is such a cutie but he is way to young for me…(I’m not old at all, I’m only 12 years old) I wish they would come to United State and have a concert here!!!
