Korea no longer allows double citizenship. They used to, though. And, I don’t believe YSJ ever was with SM. It sucks that he fled his own country. He’s got a lot of work to do to get Korea back on his side ( so to speak ).

Actually your hint is misleading. He didn’t “refuse military service”. He became a US citizen and the Korean government interpreted it as refusal of military service thus exiled him from the country.
