H.O.T’s leader Moon Hee Jun (29) is almost done with his mandatory military service. Moon’s fans celebrated 100 d-day until his release last Friday (August 10th). I can’t believe that some of his fans are still keeping track of this stuff! I used to be a huge Moon Hee Jun fan during his H.O.T days, but his transition from a cutesy idol star to an opinionated rocker did not sit well with me. His newly found rocker attitude and Gothic outfits didn’t come across as genuine, but just as desperate measures to shed off his idol image. And the extra weight didn’t help either. Let’s see what he’s got in store for us once he’s out of the military.

He was my favorite member of H.O.T, but his solo stuff I’m a bit iffy about. Maybe it’s because I’m not all that into rock. Still, congrats!

::gasp:: i’m so excited…i am a big fan of him as well. i think his voice is very unique…but i only recently liked him since 10 years ago, i was only 8. >_< I don’t think the rocker image suits him much…maybe he’ll change when he comes out.

It seems to me that “rock” in the korean industry doesn’t really work, not to offend anyone, but i like the cute, more innocent look that most korean artists have, it’s different from American artists, so i find it a lot more appealing, since rock/goth is everywhere here, it gets old and fast, let me tell you.
I personally don’t think he should have changed his image >_<

wow moon hee jun’s 29?? didn’t know~ He’s an ahjushi eh…goon-in ahjushi. I was never a fan of his or HOT. And he was always on the chunky side so if u thought he was cute then and not anymore that’s probably because his long hair always hid half his face then.
Finally the 2 years will be over ._. I never can imagine that time pasts this fast T.T Actually I luv his music, I dunno care which type it is since he always has his own style of making music. Whenever I listen to his pieces, I can tell that’s HJ’s work ^-^ Waiting 4 his next stuffs ^-^ Thax 4 the update.

I don’t have a problem with the rock/goth thing when its done properly, but his solo jibs were a little too samey when it came to the rock side of things. I preferred the ballads, but in the end if he is doing something he loves and trying to do something different then props to him!

he’s coming back, I love every member of H.O.T. But I’m not big fan of Hee Jun oppa, still love to hear news about them. i hope that there’s a reunion again, this time with singing and dancing of Candy. I don’t like him doing rock coz he’s really a great dancer ad he has a good voice too.

Okay, first of all, EVERYONE in H.O.T. changed their image–not just Heejun–so if you’re going to hate on him for that, you might as well hate on woohyuk, jaewon, kangta and tony.
