Stars attended the long-overdue launch of Banana Republic, but it turned out to be just a fashion faux pas event for all. Not a single celeb look decent at the event. In fact, it looked like stars were dragged out of their house to attend!
Coffee Prince couple Lee Sun Gyun and Chae Jung-an arrived together, but somebody forget to tell Lee that black does not match with everything, especially brown! Han’s top is classy, but not digging the gray pants. Chae’s bag, however is to die for!
Ryu Jin’s pants is a little too high for my taste. His tried and true white top and blue jeans is just blah without anything to spice it up.
Ha Jung Woo looks disproportional, somewhat like Big Bird with a huge torso and tiny legs because of his horizontal AND vertical stripes. But his stripes are nothing compared to his non-matching gray grandpa pants and charcoal and black stripe shirt. Whatever happen to the handsome prosecutor days from H.I.T?
There’s nothing special about Baek Ji Young’s get-up, but her new hair saved the look. Very cute.
Wang Bitna’s pearls overdose cannot be overlooked. A simple and sophisticated peal necklace was enough, but she went overboard on accessories, adding a beaded clutch and glittery shoes to her outfit. There are just too many things going on which resulted in nothing!
Kang Seong Yeon is going for the sophisticated look with her sleek black pants and white top, but that tie and the bowl hair cut just ruined it for her. To top off the sophisticated look, she should have chosen a more sexy or classy tie, instead she loos like an eight year old trying on daddy’s clothes for the first time.
Han Ji Hye yanked out her faded black uggs and year old knee-highs for this summer event. Han failed to match the right tones of black, but I give her props for at least trying to save the outfit with her necklace. That would have worked if it was a bit larger and bolder. A complete mess if you ask me.
Sung Yuri looks half decent in her sporty black t-shirt and short shorts, but I’m not digging the cat heels with her outfit. Wedges, sandals or even converse sneakers might have made the outfit.
I agree with the “tacky” look at the pearl overload. Accessories are in but you need to know when to stop and I think she passed that points. I do like her shoes however.
I don’t know why there is so much bashing at BR. First off BR has always been classy & sophisticated. Some of the clothing the celebs here are wearing might not have been matched properly, but needless to say, they aren’t “baggy”. BR clothing usually are close fitting, but are comfortable at the same time. It’s also possible that BR clothing in Korea is different from the ones in the US. I’ve gone to other countries where clothing such as Ecko and Sean John were completely different from the US style.
