What? That’s it? They should have banned him from TV for at least a couple of weeks, instead of just asking him to give a formal apology. A formal apology means nothing and it sends the wrong message to the Elves who originally believed that it was acceptable for their idol, Lee Teuk to lie in the name of “entertainment.” Way to go KBC, you just encouraged the Elves to continue their blind adoration for a liar!

I agree with Popseoul on this. He made a negative statement about someone live knowing full well the extent his fans would go to to show hatred against someone. The last time his fans attacked, someone died. That fact alone should have served as a warning for all of them to actually watch what they say, especially when making negative comments. And seriously, offering a public apology doesn’t really seem like much when you compare it to the emotional suffering that she had to go through. I seriously think that it’s about time that some of these celebs realise that it’s their actions that lead to severe consequences and therefore be more careful with what they say and do.

Fans are fans; they will defend their idols. As long as the mistake that an idol made was not huge (Such as the ridiculous person up there who said elves would defend Eeteuk if he ‘raped’ a girl. I think the elves should know that thanks to them, Eeteuk’s reputation is pretty much ruined. Even if they are fans of Suju they are doing the same things as the antis, and it might even be worse than what the antis are doing.
Yes, he lied, but if the elves hadn’t done what they did then it wouldn’t have been this blown out of proportion. I agree that his punishment should be slightly harsher, but not to the extent of banishing him from television, even if it is only for a few weeks. If it was a bit harsher then he would learn not to do it again, right? He shouldn’t have been required to apologize, he should have done it right after what he did. There might be a real reason for him doing it, though, however we probably won’t ever find out.
Even if I don’t sound like it, I AM a fan of Suju, and I know for a fact that not all elves are like that. It is only a small group of them that are this fanatical, but that small group gives all of them a bad reputation. Don’t blame the fans, blame the fanatics.
Even though fans are techinically also referred to as fanatics, I mean the people who are obsessed…
I think this is getting a little out of proportion. I’m pretty surprised at how many comments this comment has received… but then again, not really.
As much I love Suju, I think it was very rude for him to have lied like that, especially when the ELVES are I don’t know… insane. His “punishment” could have been a little more harsh, but I guess that’s the way it goes.

i think the Korean Broadcasting Commission is giving him a suitable punishment. I wonder if he has apologized to Yuna directly yet. He definitely should do that before airing his public apology.
