but i kinda agree with popseoul about the whole screaming fan thing. it’s nice to show appreciation for a band and your favorite band…but going to a concert often entails an artist or artists working their as*es off to put together a performance. this performance should be enjoyed and watched and actually listened to. it’s always bugged me how elf and cass fans scream so much during performances that nobody can hear any of the actual singing. it’s just disrespectful to their own artists. i totally support them cheering like crazy before and after a song but seriously. i actually respect the japanese dbsk fans more because they actually listen throughout the songs. in fact, dbsk actually commented that this was one major difference between cass fans and japanese fans. i think the fans should seriously calm down and show respect through a performance by listening or at the MOST, lightly, LIGHTLY singing along. the best fans i think are shinhwa fans…they’re sooo respectful and supportive and they don’t have extreme extreme fangirls who are willing to cause HARM to them just to see them.

i agree with MISSMANDERLEY… i didn’t know there were still filipinos who comment before researching things up first. (1) Kitchie Nadal was actually our representative at last year’s Asia Song Festival. (2) Barbie is actually on her 10th year in the music industry (which started when she was with the band called Barbie’s Cradle - which also released a lot of great songs) (3) Yes, sometimes we would have preferred that exciting bands such as Parokya ni Edgar, Bamboo, etc. could have represented the Philippines but like BARBIE I’m sure they also had a full schedule with international concerts etc. but BARBIE ALMALBIS is VERY TALENTED and AMAZING as well. And we need to take note that the artists that go to such events usually have to support their own airfares etc. in order to represent our country. KUDOS to BARBIE!!! GO PINOY!!!
On a side note, I wish that the ASIA SONG FESTIVAL could also be broadcasted in other countries as well (or that Korea would let other countries cover the event) ’cause it usually isn’t noticed by other countries — especially in the Philippines)

Im proud that there are Filipino artist performing in this kind of event. And I can say that Filipino’s are really talented it just so happen that “BOYBAND” thing is not our craft. So that’s why Barbie was the one represented our country. (So maybe audience in some way doens’t like the perfomance or a little bit bored, she’s not dancing while singing but she’s playing the guitar). And yes there are many talented bands (Rockbands) who deserved to be there.
And I agree with Popseoul, Vaness get all the spotlight against his fellow bodies F4 compare to Kang Ta. Well Kang Ta is Kang Ta, no doubt about that. Even though Vanness is really good we can never neglect the fact that Kang ta is history…

As for Peterpan, they were good back in old days. They’re not anymore especially when 2 members have been dropped out. If anyone wants to try out their must, just listen to the album title Taman Langit released in 2004. I guess it’s the best album they’ve got so far and I like almost every songs there.
Uh, Kitchie did the last Asia Song Festival, if I remember correctly. And the outcome was dismal. As in, there were probable three people who clapped. Well, that’s actually an exaggeration, but you get the point.

I noticed that most fans in the audience would talk in the middle of the guests’ performance, and cheer loudly when their home-country singers came on. People need to shut-up because I’m distracting by all the talking around me. It was rude, and I thought they would be more considerate than that. Anyhow, overall it was an enjoyable show.

Peterpan always have nice songs! I enjoy listening to them, they might not be the best indonesian band now, but I still like them, and it’s good to know they’re being recognize in other countries
