Wondergirls can’t really sing at all, but they are just all around much better performers…especially in the way they smile at the camera…I’ve seen multiple girls generation performances when a couple of the girls are staring blankly…
plus there are just too many girls to get to know the group…

I promised myself I wouldn’t get into these girls. But even though I deny it, I still watch some of their things on YOUTUBE and go on their thread at one of the forums. I still say that their first single was catchy, but their vocals in that single were… well… the furthest thing from catchy. BUT, I saw some radio shows, and it turns out some of them CAN sing! ohmahgoshes!
Plus, I think SuJu boys have crazy fans, crazy enough to hate other girl artists (especially from SM) so I won’t even get started with them. Plus, at least in SNSD, there are some pretty girls. HyoYun is only a good dancer when it’s not choregraphed, so I noticed. And some of them can sing! (yes, I’m still shocked, so I must mention it again!). OH, and at least they look pretty too. SuJu boys… Let’s just say I prefer BIG BANG, DBSK, SG Wannabe, TRAX, Shinwha, and SS501 over them (in other words… SuJu boys are … not good looking at all………………………………to me)

Even though I commented on youtube, when I saw the news segement, I was like EHH??? Compared to the other five girl groups SNSD doesn’t even compare to their accomplishments. The other five have released FULL length albums, SNSD had just released their single and haven’t worked as hard as SeeYa, WG, Kara, and CSJH. IMO they don’t deserve this award with the likes of Big Bang and PJY. I don’t think they should even be considered a top girl group, maybe after a month or two where they aren’t resorting to lipsucking preformances they can be considered GIRLS ON TOP. (no pun intended)

I thought they sang pretty well, especially some members like Taeyeon, but my mother didn’t like the song at all because she said the singing was horrible and ‘that’s what comes of putting 9 girls in one group’. I honestly have to admit that SNSD is an okay group compared to what Korea’s music market is releasing now, but I have to admit that the whole plastic surgery and 9 girls really puts me off. Their song was catchy, but it was just a song, I was expecting something better from them, but all I get is a mediocre song. I have to give props to Hyoyeon though for her skilled dancing, but SM should have shown it more, her dancing in the song is so little, and is dancing that 80% other Korean female singers, be it solo or in a group can do. I wish Hyoyeon would have done some dancing that I’ve seen in her practice clips. If they want to not get so many comments on their ’singing’, then they better show that they’re not just a bunch of pretty fake faces and skinny figures.

TRUE. All artists work hard. Some have trained for several years, while some have trained only for a few. Even if you’ve trained for a decade, you can still be much worse than someone who has trained for a year.
I guess training can only do so much. It doesn’t guarantee talent, nor success.

Hey I’m a fan of both SNSD and WG and many other girl groups. As for SoHee, she sings live on all of the perfs as so does other members in the group. It’s just that she can sing but not with the best voice because of having that unique voice. And you can’t really blame her for having that cute face. i think these girls have great personalities and talent - unfortunately, i don’t think that’s really carried on into their performances. the majority of their critics probably have only watched a couple of their perfs, and honestly that’s not where snsd’s strengths lie yet.
try watching their tv series. they are really fun girls. they may not have the best singing or best dancing, but can they really help it that sm put them into this group? at least they all get along and have multiple talents. idk, there’s something about them i like, probably from watching their mnet series, and now mtv series.

Well Yoobin can at least rap but Sohee as absolutely no talent in my eyes except for modeling, either in singen, nor in dancing, shes to young. They can perform quiet well but they really have to work on live singing.
And nobody can tell me that SNSD isnt talented! They are anorexic skinny and pale but Taeyeon, Jessica and Tiffany can sing really well and HyoYeon can battle Stephanie in dancing when she gets more experience in future! Sunny and Seohyun can sing too but whats with Yuri, Sooyoung and Yoona? What can they do? Either I didnt notice their talent or they really dont have one..? But at least they can sing live, even if their dancing is like baby.. its catching!
I really like Tell Me and Eebabo but WG dont appear on shows that much.. I wish I could see more of them.. to get to know their personalities better.

And SNSD is so much on TV, I am already getting bored of their faces, when I look for my shows on youtube.
I always see SNSD members, especially Yoona ans Yuri. And then they dont even entertain really.. their “girly being” is just going on my nerves and ruins the whole show for me! (Yoona and Yuri). I dont hate the two but they and Sooyoung seem so useless for me in the group.
Sry I am being harsh but thats my opinion.
I see it this way: who will make it farther? Obviously it’s SNSD members. Why?
Purpose: Because their group [SNSD] is more entertainment based whereas the wonder girls are thinking only of the present and basically only to sing. Fortunately for SNSD, SM understands this. SM is training the girls with dramas, movies, sitcoms, and variety shows.
Retirement: The fact of the matter is that even after SNSD breaks up - it will happen eventually because all groups break up at some point - they’ll have somewhere else to fall back on. The group has actresses, dancers, models, even possible solo artists.
Singing: Though both groups have weak members, namely Sohee and Yoona, one is clearly better: Yoona. At least she can hold a tune. And Yoona can always fall back to acting whereas Sohee can’t. Yes, each group has a member that is the group’s “face” but one has other talents while the other doesn’t. Sohee’s basically the reason I can’t stand wonder girls.
Plastics: Both groups had surgery. And everyone has to admit that people grow up and mature. For another thing, just because an Asian celebrity has double eyelids, it doesn’t mean that they had surgery. I personally have them…naturally. In fact 1 out of 3 Asians have them naturally.
Tour: Yes it’s good for a group to go to other countries and develop but in the long run it wasn’t a smart move for the wonder girls to go tour in America. They’ve hardly had a chance to developed in their native country first.
Hits: I’m sorry but all the wondergirls are known for is “Tell Me.” Woppee one hit.
Training: SNSD has been training two to three times more than the Wondergirls. Don’t object because it’s true. Sohee should have trained for three more years and then debuted with another group or even dropped.
Lipsync: And honestly Wondergirls don’t lipsync because their coreography is sooo easy! If it was that hard, why and how would videos of GRANDMAS be circulating the net? Compare the dance to SNSD’s “Into the new world” dance…those grandmas wouldn’t have a chance with all the turns and techniques.

i like both groups but im really into SNSD now.. taeyeon, sunny and sooyoung are my personal favorite.. tiffany and yoona comes second..
Taeyeon and jessica has such powerful voices! i love it when they sing!
sunny, seohyun and tiffany can also sing. Sunny is a good DJ too. Same goes with sooyoung. Tiffany on the other is good in hosting.
Hyoyeon truly is the best dancer. Yuri comes next. This two should develop that.
Yoona and Sooyoung are models now right? Yoona is a trained actress.. She’s pretty good in acting.. ^_^
