Cutesy pop princess Bae Seul Ki, has recently released her second album entitled, “Flying.” Her title song, “Seulgi Say,” is supposed to have a more hip hop beat compared to her previous bubble gum pop. Some may be surprised to see the new gangsta Bae, but her transformation attempt is nothing new as many artists try to reinvent themselves to break out from the shell of conformity with a totally “different” concept. Here we see Bae Seul Gi, who used to dance around in pink and pom poms, in large hoops and cornrows. Do you like the “new and improve” gansta Bae Seul Ki?

I am also sick of the supposed sexy divas such as Suh In Young and Chae yeon.. BSK definitely has room for improvement but the Hip Hop–that’s what it is, NOT gangsta…Seul Ki is cool, just needs a bit more practice.
I think she needs more recognition, she isn’t from SM or JYP or YG and that means she has to work harder (imo)

I don’t really like her new concept, but I like the fact that we see an image change. Not the right image change, but still, I’m happy to see her step away from the ‘cutesy’ image.
The song is kind of awkward and definitely not the right choice for a new single (she seems to made some bad choices sometimes D:), but still somewhat catchy. I like the “Carmen” remix. And her comeback was actually really good. Her hair + her live was much better than her album concept/shoot.

SeulGi was always into the hip hop thing…she dressed lite a cute hip hop thing sometimes on Xman and she always liked those kind of songs anyways. I thought seeing her in the cutesy pink/red thing was quite weird – she looks more like a tomboy type of girl to me.
I think the image makes her look older, if that’s what they’re going for…great.

I didn’t know anything about her previous image since I havent listened to her before this album. I think the image is okay…not the best…but it’ll do. She’s cute as hell I have to admit. I think tracks 2 and 7 on her album were much better than this song.

she actually had a “gangster” image before for her first single, “strong woman” and then she changed to cutesy image. i liked her “strong woman” image the best. i was disappointed when she changed to cutesy image. but yeah. she can’t rap and this song is too high pitched. i like her other songs on the album better. she should learn from T. she can rap & sing. ;D
I’m fine with her trying out new styles because I think she and her company knows that she can’t always do the cutesy thing. It will get old fast. And her songs aren’t that bad, not hardcore but definitely still easy listening. I’m quite happy with it. But what I don’t really like are her leather pants in her musicbank performance!! -.- Seriously, that’s a fashion mistake. At least wear tighter ones urgh. The pants are so dated! Bae Seul Ki matches the normal girl look more. When she tried to be cute in “Tomboy” it was too much. And the gangsta look makes her look like a wannabe (for both this and “Stong Woman”). She should stick to the normal casual look that made her popular on Love Letter. Either way, her personality kicks butt and I give her props for trying out new things.
BTW, the song isn’t too bad.
I like her, and I support attempts of doing something new, but hip hop? The song isn’t innovative at all, and I don’t think Seul Ki really fits this style.
Seulgi is amazing and i luv this new image but i liked the old image too. Really, i would like everything she do but sexy (i don’t think that would fit her good). i like her whole album also.
