Hallyu star, Ryu Si Won’s father (72) passed away after suffering from a heart attack at his home on Monday morning. Ryu flew back from Japan in disbelief and many of his celeb friends came to the hospital to offer their condolences. RIP Ryu Sun Woo.

To shinjinny: I totally agree with you! When I saw his picture I was really disappointed in Jinu. At least wear a suit, it’s better than wearing jeans. I think it’s absolutely disprespectful of him, but at least his wife has some manner!

However, I’m really just simple-mindedly wondering, but was his father famous or a big deal in some kind of industry? Or did he have some kind of special connection to these celebrities?
If not, alllll those famous celebrities really JUST came to show their condolences for his death? i mean, it’s a really nice thing to do of course, and i don’t have a problem with it at all, but it seems a little random and strange how such a big deal is made by the death of a celebrity’s old father.. because you don’t really see this kind of “event” for many other funerals.. and really, it’s not just a FEW celebs, but soooo many (even A-listers) showed up.. so i’m really just wondering, it seems a bit unusual and random…

i haven’t heard about wearing jeans is disrespectful towards one’s death, but I do know you’re supposed to wear either BLACK or something REALLY dark enough that’s could be considered as black.. so why did Lee Ah-hyun wore grey -_-;;
Same goes with some women.. wearing makeup @ funerals. I believe “naked” makeup is okay but some ladies up there… have some REALLY visible eyeliner.. that’s not really appropriate. =\

Gaek, [this sound contradicting but..] i’m not saying that you shouldn’t wear makeup for funerals; its just that i’ve been told that you shouldnt wear any makeup for that kind of occasion –BUT if you do then you should wear ‘naked-makeup’ . Now i’m not sure if i’m using this term correctly (please do tell me the right defintion for it) but someone told me naked-makeup is like natural makeup where you cant even tell if you have makeup on or not.
i was just pointing out that it wouldn’t be appropriate because of what i’ve been taught by the elders. [apologize for getting off topic]

a funeral is not a place to gawk at what people are wearing. It’s not like someone’s boob popped out. Everyone there has lost a father, a brother or a friend. As long as one’s heart is in the right place, I don’t see what the problem is. Save all that fashion hoopla for the award shows.
