Since when were Se7en (22) and Kim Hee Sun (30) buddy buddies? I can’t imagine these two stars being real “friends” but they claim that they are and Se7en will sing for Kim on her wedding day. I guess they had something real going on if Se7en is willing to fly all the way to Korea just to sing for her, but what do you think? Are they really friends?

Age doesn’t really matter between friends and money rules everything around him so if he gets paid a lot of money, he will fly to Korea to sing a song for KHS. Japan is located right next to Korea so it will take about 2 and a half hour by flight. It’s not a big deal for him to do that. NOT a big surprise. Whenever I see “Se7ven”, I come up with the Seven Eleven (Convenient Store).

so a lesson in korean culture 101…is akira correct? that in korea, people of different ages are usually not friends? cuz i don’t find their friendship questionable at all let alone b/c of their age difference. i have friends a lot older and younger than me. it’s funny how ppl are trying to dig up WHY they’re friends…who cares! they’re both entertainers so i’m sure they’ve crossed paths. and i would hire him to sing at my wedding b/c he can mix it up a bit.
My guess is that since Park Han Byul is super close with KHS
& PHB dated Se7en back in the day they all got close.

Thats just stupid. Many people in entertainment are friends with each other but you just don’t see em together. I don’t get wat some ppl have against him singing at her wedding. She wants se7en to sing so let him sing. Plus his vocals are pretty good, even though he isn’t a ballad singer.

@AKIRA…the Korean meaning for friend is completely different than the English meaning. They are not the same. In English a Friend is someone you have a close relationship with or someone you hang out with…no matter what age. Therefore your or the Korean definition of friend in Korean is not the same thing. Its more like “peer” I think that is a more accurate word than friend.
^ thats not true in America if you are friends with someone alot older than you (Se7en and Hee sun) ppl do have questions. Because she is alot older than him. You have to wonder how did they meet. I doubt they are friends. Prolly some PS so she can have more attention on her wedding.
I don’t know what the big deal is. I know a friend who’s a recording artist that drives miles to sing for his friend’s weddings because they mean a lot to him. This is just meaningless dish on Se7en because he’s been away from the media spotlight. His voice sounds better than Rain’s singing ballads, so meh, he’s not that bad of a choice.
The association of se7en with actress Kim Hee Sun is only very simple. Park Han Byul is very close to Kim Hee Sun. She co-starred with her in one of her dramas– MY FAIR LADY back then. Parl Han Byul was (or still is?) Se7en’s girlfriend. So it just follows that Se7en is also close to Kin Hee Sun. He is a self-confessed fan of her.
And oh, btw, Han Byul is a bridesmaid in the wedding.

@Rae its not the same. What questions would they have unless they feel that there is a innapropriate relationship going on? If you are an adult you are free to make those decisions on who you choose as a friend. And I say its not the same because even if there is a 1yr difference in Korea you can’t be seen as friends only Dongsang/Hyung or whoever is higher than you relationship.
Look at HeeChul of SuperJunior…there is this one fan of his that always reminds us “In Korea people who are not the same age would NEVER call each other friends.” So HeeChul expects all the members younger than him to respect that and call him hyung.
