On Mnet Wide Special Interview, Rain alluded to discrimination as the cause of “It’s Raining” concert fiasco. I’m not going to deny that discrimination exists, but Rain citing discrimination as an excuse for his failed concerts was distasteful, if not unethical. Perhaps the language barrier made him “feel” the winds of discrimination, but how can he blame his downfall on it when the fault is clearly on him and his incompetent management team? Oh, I forgot – Rain has no grasp of reality.
But enough about discrimination and Rain’s failures. What I really wanted to point out from the interview was Rain’s inability to entertain the audience with his words. Pinky recycled his hard luck story one too many times that I have become immune to it.
Pinky, if you want to become a world star, act like one and you can start by getting over your past and taking responsibility of your actions, even if the results are undesirable. Until then, you are just a mouse trying to take over the world.

chay- “If this post (and this writer) should be taken very seriously, Popseoul could be sued.”
Why should Popseoul being sued? This was posted on Rain-USA since 2007-10-23
Rain talks about failed World Tour
Translated article:
Title:Rain’s first confession “Racism you could not see”……
….he stated that he felt he was discriminated against despite his talents and abilities.
So Rain-USA tells not the truth???
“hey, you! Be patient. He will be a world star”
…no, no he won’t.
That’s like saying Britney Spears will be responsible.
Yes i did just bring Britney Spears into the equation, they’re both pathetic retards obsessed with money and attention.
Are you sure there is no misunderstanding? Translating can cause serious problems. Be careful, guys! Expressing your own ideas is not bad, but please don’t come up with such issue, it’s no longer a funny joke when it comes to sth like “discrimination”. If that was exactly what he meant, I would be very disappointed. Could you please tell me the source of the news so that I can go check it myself? Thanks in advance.
Thank you popseoul for misinforming people!

Fact: the article was posted on Rain-USA..
FYI, Rain-USA is all about Rain; so any news article (good or bad) relating to Rain will be posted there.
But when an article mentioned something as serious as “discrimination” (no matter who or what artists), and when there’s an actual video clip to verify whether or not the news source was true, you would want to go & ask for clarification. Thankfully for asian-buzz.com. If you care to check out that blogsite, you have the transcript translated for you. From asian-buzz, it’s evident that that journalist who wrote the article used a poorly choice of word in referencing to Rain’s statement. All Rain mentioned was that there’s limitations as an Asian performer in the US. …So tell me, how does his statement even come close to a cry over discrimination? Also, if you check out other articles such as “10.22.07 [MyDaily]Rain: Thinking about love, but don’t even have time” which was also posted on Rain-USA, you can see that this matches up with what Asian-buzz stated..
Dumpling thinks she’s the smartest asswhore in the friggin internet. Go get a life and stop calling everyone who doesn’t agree with you stupid.
Fact: the article was posted on Rain-USA..
now THERE’S a very good source of UNBIASED reporting. what a joke.
Why is everyone attacking Rain? Maybe the use of the ‘race card’ can be challenged, but how can the failures of the concert be blamed completely on Rain himself? All we know about the situation is what is shown and said in the media. No one here can speak like they’re part of the case. I’m not here to ‘defend’ Rain. What annoys me the most is 1. when certain people claim that Rain’s fans need to “get a life” for defending him, but get so worked up about the whole situation themself. If you don’t care, don’t bother reading it or commenting. And 2. when certain people come out with the most absurd abuse towards Rain. What has he ever done to you? Do YOU know him personally?? Are you a fan? Was YOU personally waiting for him at the cancelled concert?
What the hell? This was completely taken out of context out of the actual article.
“Are you a fan? Was YOU personally waiting for him at the cancelled concert?”
um, yes, i am a fan and i WAS waiting for his concert in LA only to find out it was canceled.
“FYI, Rain-USA is all about Rain; so any news article (good or bad) relating to Rain will be posted there.”
Oh COME ON! NOTHING bad about Rain will ever be posted on Rain-USA, including comments from posters that are anything other than “isn’t Rain wonderful?” “oh yes, Rain is so wonderful”…blech.
Rain-USA is the rah-rah site for all things Rain. That’s o.k. It’s nice for teenyboppers without a life to have a place to gush all over the latest crush. But, no, you will not find objective NEWS about Rain there.
First things first, this video has been misinterpreted, and over exaggerated. Why? Well the reasons are quite obvious.
Watch BOTH parts of Rains Interviews and read the translations at:

Rain’s Quotes:
Rain: As an Asian, there are some limitations. No matter what, performing globally is in itself a big new test for me. Initially, I was planning to take it very seriously. But from how things are now, Asians still have some limitations.
Rain: There was also a time when I feel “Ah.. this part is just too hard”. That’s why when I do a second world tour, I feel organizing it would be easier. After these, I’ve learned a lot and witnessed a lot… Still in the end, as long as I take what I’m doing seriously and everyone work hard, then people will approve of us. This process is really precious, it makes me realize again that this is the most important thing, even though the result doesn’t come out soon enough. That’s why these are precious memories, precious concerts. I want to reiterate that this is all possible because of the fans. That’s why I want to say “thank you” to all the fans.
Besides I love Rain-He’s quite a cutie hottsome:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
shite i would have gone to his damn concerts but they were too far away…im from MN…im not gonna fly out to LA or Las Vagas
Popseoul u only like to make responses right .. but deep down I think u have big attention to him. Just want to know what other’s negative thought about Rain right .. so far many topics of rain here in yr blogs.. do love him huh?
U make all these topics here for a living ??
Popseoul does have huge love(or hate) for Rain. LOL
I’m started off with a slight interest for this artical but, as time progressed, I’ve really gotten fed up with what everyone has to say.
FIRST popseoul must be happy…have they not accomplished their role as the devil’s advocate? i know i’m restating an earlier comment but this IS a gossip site, can you really expect quality journalism? i don’t believe such a standard exist for this type of “news”. Keep that in perspective as you read anything on this site.
SECOND I’d like to deal with the actual subject of this article: Rain. I do not speak korean so I’m unable to verify what’s really being said, instead I want to address some of these [ridiculous] responses. When it comes to Rain I feel that I’m relatively unbias. I know who he is and feel that, within the k-pop circles he is presented as a top asian entertainer…i don’t know enough to say if that’s fair. I’ve also seen two of his dramas (one I really enjoyed the other I couldn’t force myself to rewatch) and am aware of his music. I don’t hate it but don’t like it either b/c i’m not a fan of k/pop music. Like any other foreign entertainer I’d like him to be sucessful BUT i’m well aware of the limitations America poses to any new act. If he failed fine. If he needs to rethink his strategy fine. What I think is ridiculous is how people use this as an excuse to hate on him and to hate on others.
have you not read the comments circulating between people? calling names, pulling stereotypes, and down right trashy racial comments? step back, if anyones the fool its not “drizzle”/Rain but all the idiots who are spreading hate to one another. Are you soo ignorant and self absorbed not see that YOU are the TRUE HYPOCRITE. people are entitled to their own opinions but not at the expense of hate. To honestly thrash one another with such lies small example of the ugliness that resides on the inside. step back and correct yourself first.
If less people respond to these gossipy sites they would not be around. Get the facts straight before you start making accusations and getting all bent out of shape. These are lies those were not his exact words, his words were twisted to make it sound like he was blaming it on racism, and wake up people racism still exist in a multicultural North America. A lot of it is hidden…. and I am Non-Asian. Barriers are created by differences in culture and languages, Mistreatments are caused by mistrust and fear. So have a heart, This young man is just like everyone he is trying to make a better life for himself. He is very ambitious. As for Micheal Jackson he is what he is one day he will have to answer to his Maker.
@enoughofthis:
Amen to that. Really wish some ears would listen.
Shut the hell haters. This man has accomplished a lot in a very short time. More than anybody on this page combined. “Dumpling” take your meds, you’re too dramatic. I love and admire Rain. America does discriminate! If you don’t believe that then you naive as hell.
Rain keep up the good work.
If you are going to attack into a country entertainment industry, you need to have something to keep the citizen feel related, namely their language. He can not just blamed the US for discrimination. You know what i’m tired of people mentioning the US and racism, discrimination. Discrimination is everywhere not just in the US (and sometimes it’s alot more serious than in the US). Racism didnt even start in the US. But anyways, Rain made a mistake using this excuse, it will only make it harder for people in the US to accept him afterward. Also, if you want to film in a US movie, of course you have to speak english. You can not just let one speak korean, one speak english, that doesnt make any sense.
To play the discrimination card to protect his “popularity” and “image” is not only a lousy excuse but an insult to those who have actually been discriminated.
Rain should have known better that the US market is one tough cookie to break. He is undeniably popular in Asia, but that is not a guarantee he’ll penetrate Hollywood that easily. One factor may have been the language barrier but that should not be construed as discriminatory. I, for one, will not spend a single dime on someone to hear him sing in a language I couldn’t understand.
If Rain thinks that he can pull himself out of the hole by playing the race issue, he needs to wake up and smell the coffee.
Okay seriously. I`m a white american and i am sooooo sick of people saying how racist we are. WE ARE NOT RACISTTT. yeah there are some racist white people in america, but there are also racist asians, hispanics, europeans, africans, hatians, native americans, and so on. The majority of america is actually really accepting. If Jihoon oppa would realize here he seriously is a nobody. No one in america would know wtf Rain was if you asked the average person. Some would but not a great majority. He needs to step back, take a breath and go back to 2002 and debut all over again. Sorry Jihoon oppa
this is a whoollleee new ball game.
OMG.. Some of you are taking this way to hard.
1st He is a Pop singer not a president. Let him do what ever he wants its not liking it is gonna effect us.
2nd He is 25. Where you any better off then him at 25.. No I don’t think so ..
3rd I am American and I know as an American in general we are discriminative. Don’t believe me watch the news.
So just Shut the F**K Up. Stop your crying and move on.
PS for Anyone that is just gonna say fangirl. I am not. I don’t even like his style of music. I just had seen a bunch of people ranting over something retarded and making Americans look like we are perfect (which we are not) and had to say something.
