On Mnet Wide Special Interview, Rain alluded to discrimination as the cause of “It’s Raining” concert fiasco. I’m not going to deny that discrimination exists, but Rain citing discrimination as an excuse for his failed concerts was distasteful, if not unethical. Perhaps the language barrier made him “feel” the winds of discrimination, but how can he blame his downfall on it when the fault is clearly on him and his incompetent management team? Oh, I forgot – Rain has no grasp of reality.
But enough about discrimination and Rain’s failures. What I really wanted to point out from the interview was Rain’s inability to entertain the audience with his words. Pinky recycled his hard luck story one too many times that I have become immune to it.
Pinky, if you want to become a world star, act like one and you can start by getting over your past and taking responsibility of your actions, even if the results are undesirable. Until then, you are just a mouse trying to take over the world.
I’ve just noticed this in the last two Drizzle posts: is this the new thing, accusing me of being other people posting comments? “May got you there”? May didn’t get shit, except a desperate attempt to take away some credibility from me by lying that I’m posting under more than one name. Let me assure you of something, little children who are making these basless accusations, I have only one screen name and only one only and you are looking at it. And FYI, he didn’t name himself “world star”. the interviewer introduced him as world star because the media was the one who gave him that title. and also, he is not the only one given that title or whatever. I’ve watched some interviews and news program, the reporters/interviewers also regard some its starts as world stars such as jeon ji hyun, and that actress who won best actress at Cannes.
And pity Koreans, they still are very proud of Rain.
If he’s not making taking it one step at a time, then he should have debuted when he was still with JYPE. JYPE was already hurrying him to debut but he backed-off. His album has been postponed to be released a few times already.

ok, i think the media took what he said out of context. i don’t think he means that he was discriminated against b/c he was an asian artist but that asians just aren’t that popular in the US music industry yet which was another reason his concerts failed here. i can see how his words might have been twisted in translation or the media just took that phrase and ran sideways. what i find funny is…he’s still in denial that HE’S just not popular. yeah, the limitations he had as an un-popular asian artist was on his ticket sales.
