Mr. Rain decided to board the plane all by himself this Friday. According to J.Tune, Rain’s new entertainment company, the shrimp eyed star feels confident enough to meet and negotiate with Hollywood producers and directors without the help of his managers and translators.
The Korean media is congratulating Rain on his newly found English skills, but we know better. This “world star” can’t even order room service properly. I’m not sure what he’s trying to prove, but what’s the point of meeting up with producers all by himself? There’s certainly nothing wrong with meeting Hollywood producers with his managers. In fact, it’s actually idiotic to represent oneself in the entertainment industry. Is Rain going to LA alone to follow in JYP’s footsteps? Or is Rain really that fluent in English and wants to show off?

i don’t think it takes a genius or psychic to know his english sucks. the guy hasn’t done any interviews in english. ok…maybe he did one that i know of…back when he did the madison square garden concert but asian-buzz confirmed that he was memorizing his lines back then! my friend was at his LA concert presscon and one of the questions was…can you answer this next question in english? in which he just conveniently ignored/brushed it off and replied in korean. and this was just back in JUNE.
i went to his fanmeeting at bangkok last june.. and he spoke to us with well english. i understand everywords he said and no problem with the accent, i guess he doent want to speak in english for public cause he is not confident enough..
anyway, i dont think he is alone going to LA, maybe his manager or whoever wait for him in LA or something, even if he is alone, maybe he chalengeed himself by not taking any translator so he HAVE to speak in english there…
think the other way people… judging him a idiot or stupid is a shallow mind…
No offense, but you don’t sound like your english is all that good either. Are you sure you’re a good judge of Drizzle’s english capablities? No seriously, I’m not trying to be mean. I’m just not sure that someone who isn’t proficient in a foreign language can properly judge someone else’s proficiency in that same language.

You whites will never be able to emphathize nor understand anything that people of different ethnicities experience in America. Just a couple years ago, white police nearly killed a black man just because he “looked suspicious” to them. It’s actually pretty hard to argue with that statement from the Big-D…this isn’t true for Corporate America (movie/record/TV producers)–they’re always 5 years behind the people, especially the young people, and afraid to go with anything too new. But we’re talking “Americans” here and they will flock to anyone with “diao” and tear apart ridiculous people.

wow, now that’s impressive. i’m sure the guy handling his suitcase is the one who’s gonna negotiate for drizzle when he talks to the american producers and directors.
People, what’s with all the negative energy? Way tooo much anger and hatred. I do not understand all these bashing going around! If I do not like an artist or entertainer, I simply IGNORE him and his projects and then I go on with MY LIFE. But then again, I do not really obsess about stars and their lives. I am not fixated on their language skills, their sexual preference or their flight plans. If these facts about an artist bother me too much, I move on to the next show, drama or artist for entertainment.
Actually, I decided to post my reply to encourage Asians to support Asian artists trying to make it here in the US. (see my earlier post if you want). Am out of here people! It’s the weekend, let your computers rest. Rain and other Asian artists, fighting!
