600 dedicated Elves gathered in front of SM office in Apku-jung again to protest the formation of the subgroup, Super Junior-China and adding Henry, the talented violinist to the mega group. SM hasn’t released an official statement concerning the manner, but they prepared for the Elves battle by securing 100 Kangnam police officers nearby.
I’m not surprised that these crazy fangirls are overreacting to SM’s plans for Super Junior, but I was somewhat impressed with their rational plan of action. They received legal clearance for their protest and they announced that they will boycott SM’s products in the future. In addition, they plan to create “Super Junior has only 13 members” propaganda online.
Regardless of these protests, SM should go on with their original plan because Super Junior badly needs talent in their group, but what do you think? Will SM succumb to the Elves’ request or will SM proceed with their Super Junior China plans?

i actually like the idea of a SUJU-China, and I don’t mind them having HENRY or others being added. It’s such a waste for talented individuals like Hankyung or Henry (foreigners with contracts at SM Ent.) taking YEARS of training in their respective countries and then just limiting their work activities to what’s just available for them that could be broadcasted in just two channels. OUCH!
No boyband will last forever. Eventually they’ll be disbanded. It’s just a matter of when and how. It’s sad to think that if the fans won’t support SUJU anymore or their products, then SM might speed up the process and disband them alrady since the group isn’t giving him any profit anymore.
When they added Kyu Hyun no one protested and why? Cuz he’s Korean? Why was adding a member after debut NOT a big deal then but now it is? Because the member they are adding now is CHINESE CANADIAN. Super Junior has formed splinter groups and SUJU china is just another splinter. If fans were ok with the splinter groups before then why not now. And don’t tell me this is not about nationality. Many fans and antis have already given Han Kyung a hard time about being chinese and the only reason many of the people who disapprove of Henry approve of Han Kyung is because he debuted with the group and they couldn’t agrue back then, they could have just ignored the group as a whole. One of the main reasons why the Elves are protesting is because apparently SM already said that Suju was going to stay the way they were. Anyways, I don’t like Henry. Something about him yells, “arrogant!” & as much as I admire LSM’s brilliance in business (not in human relations), I think that his goal to capture the Chinese market is way too much. He’s already got Kangta collaborating with Vanness(sp?) Wu. TVXQ has had successful concerts/appearances in Chinese speaking countries. Before we know it, there will be more Chinese trainees in SM than Korean trainees. It’s like they forgot about the other fans and only focused on the Chinese market. (no offense to anyone who is Chinese).
Also, like what was mentioned before, I feel that it’s not fair to the other current members of Super Junior. Some don’t even get much spotlight, and some none at all, and ten here comes another one who will be taking more of it. It just doesn’t seem right. If SM really wants this guy, then they should have him in another group or maybe just launch him as a solo artist.

IMO Suju-China is a good idea and I think that Hankyung should be a part of it. Its no secret that he has had a lot of trouble with his visa and etc…which I think its ridiculous and I understand that that is the government’s policy but still Hankyung deserves better and if he can be in China with his people and still be a part of Super Junior then I wish him the best of luck.
About Henry…Henry is a talent that will go to waste under SM. He should either be solo or start in a small group. He should have scouted all his opportunities because with his talent he has many opportunities hopefully he won’t get signed into some ridiculous contract and get out early.

I mean, Super Junior is full of talent and adding Henry in there is like making SuJu much better than it already is. The ELFs aren’t targeting their anger at Henry, but at SM. I heard that they feel betrayed that Lee Soo Man said that Super Junior was an official group and that nothing would change about Super Junior. Lee Teuk even cried when they realized that they wouldn’t be together officially because they were rotational. The reason why Suju fans didn’t boycott SM when Kyuhyun joined Suju is because he promised that if KyuHyun was added, then there would be no more changes to Suju and that they would be a permanent group, not because they are racist -__-;;; So the fans accepted Kyuhyun. Then now, they feel betrayed because SM said that they were adding Henry and that they never said that Suju wasn’t a rotational group. They’re angry because now they know that Suju members will come and go. It’s not directed specifically at Henry, the poor kid just happened to be the one being added.
Even if their protest is justified because SM broke their promise, the Elves are kind of giving Super Junior and also themselves a bad rep.
Besides, why can’t SM make a new group with live concert-y instruments as well as singers and have Henry in it?

Seriously, I don’t get what’s their problem. If they love their SUJU, then support henry going into the group, because if you aren’t gonna support SUJU because of Henry, then SUJU will no longer be a group. If LSM decides to put Henry in, then he is in. I heard from this guy that Henry signed the contract saying specifically he wasn’t going to be part of SUJU anyways.

One of the main reasons why the Elves are protesting is because apparently SM already said that Suju was going to stay the way they were. Anyways, I don’t like Henry. Something about him yells, “arrogant!” & as much as I admire LSM’s brilliance in business (not in human relations), I think that his goal to capture the Chinese market is way too much. He’s already got Kangta collaborating with Vanness(sp?) Wu. TVXQ has had successful concerts/appearances in Chinese speaking countries. Before we know it, there will be more Chinese trainees in SM than Korean trainees. It’s like they forgot about the other fans and only focused on the Chinese market. (no offense to anyone who is Chinese).
Also, like what was mentioned before, I feel that it’s not fair to the other current members of Super Junior. Some don’t even get much spotlight, and some none at all, and ten here comes another one who will be taking more of it. It just doesn’t seem right. If SM really wants this guy, then they should have him in another group or maybe just launch him as a solo artist.

I think somewhere along the way ELFs got the idea that they were the main bread winners for SM. Wrong! It’s ‘Cassiopeia’ and I doubt that SuJu adding a additional member will stop them from supporting DBSK thus in return supporting SM. The reason why LSM has been so cocky in regards to this is because he can be. DBSK is bringing in money from Japan/Taiwan/China/etc. SNSD fanbase is growing rapidly and they are getting a lot of attention. ELF protest is getting SM more attention. Hell, LSM could debut another new group right now if he wanted.
ELFs have no pull. The sooner they realize this the better off they’ll be. Super Junior can be disbanded & replaced. ELFs need to sit their a** at the back of the bus and just enjoy the damn ride.

Seems like these stupid girls havent realised that Super Junior is a frickin rotational group since their debut till now. SM will not(I hope) listen to these crazy girls. Lets say, if Henry joins Super Junior, SuJu might get very popular in Taiwan cos of Henry. In SM-ism, More Popularity in Other Countries = More Money.
But if SM listens to these girls, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO SUPER JUNIOR? NOTHING. Will these girls buy all of Super Junior’s albums and products when people in other parts of Asia dosent want to buy them? Super Junior dosent really earn that much, and when u think of how singers like BoA can easily earn 10 times more than them, they’re really losers. If SM didnt come up with SuJu and debuted them as soloist, SM might be making more now.

The reason why KyuHyun wasn’t protested as much is because SuperJunior was still put out as a PROJECT GROUP then.
After KyuHyun was added, SuperJunior was named as a permanent group, not by the fans, but by SUPERJUNIOR THEMSELVES.

Not really, and i think super junior proves that point..–; Seriosuly people complaining that Henry might not be able to sing, when they fail to see how lacking Super junior is in that department. From what i know, most people who play instrument have a somewhat ability to sing or at least know certain notes and tones. Plus Henry can learn to lip sync like the rest of Suju, so sining isn’t a problem!
