Ivy is pissed and she isn’t shy to express it

Popseoul_ivy2_20071117

MIA singer Ivy expressed her frustrations in how the reporters are covering her sex video scandal on her cyworld. She wrote

Reporters, I can’t stand you killing someone with your harsh words. Please stop writing fiction and gossiping about things you didn’t see or hear first hand.

But Ivy quickly deleted her entry after it made headlines this morning.

Well Miss Ivy, the reporters have no choice but to make speculations based on the evidence unearthed by the police and the netizens because you are unavailable to give us a counterargument of what had happened. Don’t you know that you need to hold your end of the bargain before you make demands?

The police concluded yesterday that there is no sex video and Ivy will not attend Mnet’s MKMF.

I guess the reason she never counterattacked was because she knew the allegations were false in the first place. Maybe it was better having them find out it was false and the big deal they made was for nothing.

    Ivy needs a break… ;_;

  2. 2 May November 17, 2007 at 4:13 am

    aww..IVY!!!!

she’s the only thing I’m looking forward to in the MKMF, well..and JYP and WOndergirls.

Ivy isnt really one of my favorites, but still- get well Ivy!

  5. 6 okeydoke November 17, 2007 at 5:20 am

i too think reporters are annoying
    cut her some slack. jesus.
yeah sex tapes would be bad
but how come the worlds gotta freak out when a celebrity supposedly does one

    calm the crack down

  6. 7 Aww November 17, 2007 at 5:25 am

What no sex tape of Ivy. I guess that is a good thing since it would be so boring. Koreans don’t know how to have a good f**king sex.

  7. 8 Meru November 17, 2007 at 5:51 am

Isn’t that her private business? If she wants to keep it to herself, then I don’t see what “end of the bargain” she needs to give to the media. She doesn’t have to explain anything about her private life just because she’s a celebrity. Besides, even if she does tell the truth, people are still going to speculate about it anyway.

  8. 9 meEH November 17, 2007 at 6:19 am

dANg dat is for sure! whats with the reporters. i mean its cool to noe whats happening but dont you think that is too mean

  9. 10 yetaz November 17, 2007 at 6:33 am

the police could’ve ben paid to keep their mouth shuts about the sex tape. and why would she delete her entry? she shouldn’t have written anything in her cy in the first place then. now she looks dumb.

  10. 11 Paris Hilton November 17, 2007 at 6:33 am

    That’s hot.

  11. 12 =^ ^=camie=^^= November 17, 2007 at 6:36 am

    ^ omg haha

    giv her a break -.-

  12. 13 marmar November 17, 2007 at 6:53 am

Shoot, i think there is a sex tape..I mean if they still hassling over it .n. it’s still in the press then shoot there probably is one.
Also I mean behind every rumor there is some truth behind it…so I think there is a sex tape.

Oh well sucks for her…I don’t really care for Ivy..not really a fan.

  13. 14 rocketfuel November 17, 2007 at 7:11 am

people and internet dwellers will make up their own stories whether she’s speaks out and tells the truth or not. I wouldn’t say that silence towards the media and netzines is a good thing, but I do think she should get out of Dodge for a while.

And I’m sure she feels good that the media followed around Paris Hilton like puppies in love and yet won’t cut her any slack since she’s a female Korean celebrity.

  14. 15 junsufan November 17, 2007 at 7:25 am

the media should just leave her alone..come on..if i were her..i’ll be so pissed off..it’s her private business..
sigh..i was looking forward to MKMF because of her..dance battle and anyband..i was hoping she’ll perform sth out of the kind *like BoA’s GOT which is just too awesome* and now she won’t be there..

  15. 16 Omo November 17, 2007 at 7:54 am

I totally agree with Ivy. I too, wish the media and the internets would stop harassing myself and Rain about our sex tape. NO, you CAN NOT see our sex Tape. But you may download it for a small fee. All proceeds will go towards sending Lee DaHae to dance/vocal classes with a small portion for buying JYP some decent pants, jeans preferably.

  16. 17 peepoo November 17, 2007 at 8:22 am

Omo…he made one with you too???

  17. 18 daneil November 17, 2007 at 8:28 am

it seems like she wants to say more but fantom/phantom? isn’t letting her
there are rumors that fantom is pruposely making her look bad so they can drop her whne her contract ends? something like that.
still there are soo many rumors out there. what are you supposed to believe?

  18. 19 Neh November 17, 2007 at 8:45 am

Not fan of Ivy, but the public and media shouldn’t really get into her private life. How would the people who watch or make the news feel if they have their private life exposed to the world?

  19. 20 ^ person above me.. duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh November 17, 2007 at 9:18 am

    to the person above me…

the reason why the media is up in her a$$ is because that’s what they do!!! all celebrities know. if they’re famous/popular then they should know it’s coming. that’s the thing about celebrities and normal ppl like us… we don’t get that kind of attention. why? cuz we’re just average ppl on the streets ok?

this is all entertainment. if she’s hating her life cuz reporters are bugging about her and trying to get every dirt about her personal life, well she should reconsider about her spot as a singer and blend in with us normal ppl.

so.. the person above me, all i have to say to you is know the difference between celebrities and reg. ppl

  20. 21 janepak November 17, 2007 at 9:41 am

hell. i’d be pissed too lol

  21. 22 Neh November 17, 2007 at 10:29 am

    “^ person above me.. duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”

Caption Obvious, that’s besides the point. Even though they’re celebrities, they can’t be bothered 24/7. They’re humans too.
Public is also to be blame since they too are supporting this type of ugly media.

  22. 23 honeyTHEhottest November 17, 2007 at 11:51 am

that’s a really nice pic of her. i hope she returns to the music scene soon. this pretty girl can actually sing and dance. and that is rare today on the korean music scene.

  23. 24 maria November 17, 2007 at 1:20 pm

ehh. i feel no sympathy for her.
why not come out of hiding and
say that directly? now, that will be
something. if they are just rumors,
then say so. why do you have to hide?
    is it because its true..?

  24. 25 nycapple November 17, 2007 at 2:14 pm

it’s really childish and immature of her
to blame her problems on the over-zealousness
    of the media.
they made her famous. they make her rich.
but when the mass com. does something
they don’t like, they’re suddenly vultures
    and scavengers.

    grow up ivy.
it comes with the territory of being famous.
    you can’t pick and choose.
it would be ideal. it would be nice.
but that’s not how it works.
    deal with it.

    all these celebrities complaining about
the media, i find it laughable and selfish.

  25. 26 jaime November 17, 2007 at 2:44 pm

hmm. i dont feel bad for her at all.
i dont feel any sympathy for her.
i mean if what they are saying is not
true, why doesnt she come out of
hiding and say it herself? why is she
hiding? is it because its true..?
Ivy, stop hiding, and face the consequences.
defend yourself if you think you are innocent.
the fact that she is hiding says that there is
    some TRUTH to these reports.

  26. 27 daneil November 17, 2007 at 2:48 pm

If they were spreading sh*t about you
regardless of your job you would say something too.
of course being famous isn’t all glamorous but i think sometimes the korean entertainment world and the way people view them is so hypocritical and stupid.

they start spreading rumors around you and then when someone actually gets hurt and commits suicide like da bin and unee they say oh im sorry but they do it all over again. netizens have gained too much power over these celebs lives. even journalists are getting informatiion from them.
celebs CAN complain about the media they are human. yes it comes with the territory but theres a line that shouldn’t be really crossed.

  27. 28 yetaz November 17, 2007 at 3:12 pm

actually unee and jung da bin were quite UNDERRATED. they weren’t talked about enough by the media and that is probably one of the reasons why (along with other personal conflicts) they did what they did.

  28. 29 kellz November 17, 2007 at 4:05 pm

    lol paris hilton xD

i agree with popseoul. i think that her being MIA isn’t really helping situations either, i mean, if you’re not guilty, don’t hide and just tell the truth then everyone will go “ohhhh…” and shut up.. so,i guess she’s guilty then?

  29. 30 nycapple November 17, 2007 at 5:11 pm

people commit suicide because they weren’t mentally capable of dealing with stressors. And a lot of asian women dont seek mental help due to the stigma attached in the asian culture. Not because of gossip rags in print or the internet.

And yes i would complain if people were talking shit about me but not when the shit talkers are part of the reason why i’m famous. And especially when fame is whats putting food on the table. And especially when just weeks before i was kissing their ass to get good press.

Please some of us have careers that actually matters dont compare my career to the degrading jobs these celebrities have.

  30. 31 dwilliams November 17, 2007 at 8:52 pm

Neh-Caption Obvious, that’s besides the point. Even though they’re celebrities, they can’t be bothered 24/7. They’re humans too.

Well they can be bothered when they want someone to go to their fan club meetings, watch their movies, and buy their albums lol but still Ivy brought some of this on herself. If she had not crossed a jaded lover then she wouldnt be in the mess she is in can’t blame the media for that.

  31. 32 dwilliams November 17, 2007 at 8:53 pm

I think the reporters should stop doing all these – writing stories of celebrities’ private lives.
Hello, the word “private” exists for a purpose. -_-
The reporters should write about world news about what’s happening in here and there. Or write some informative reports on health or something of that sort.

  33. 34 mist November 17, 2007 at 10:10 pm

how can u complain on something that u enjoying so much…and u make huge money with it too…there are a price of being a celeb….learn to give and take…

  34. 35 em2007 November 18, 2007 at 12:10 am

Some of the comments on this page are so funny – reporters should only write about world news?! I find it funny coming from someone reading this site. If Popseoul was about world news, would you be reading it? We all enjoy this site because it’s about celebrity gossip. Celebrities make A LOT of money for being in the public eye. That’s the price you pay.

  35. 36 Eve November 18, 2007 at 12:33 am

She has a right be angry – especially if the whole thing was fake to begin with. Because this kind of thing can really end someone’s career – and it’d be really stupid to see her career tarnished for something like this.

  36. 37 Junghee November 18, 2007 at 5:27 am

too bad that she has to go thru all this craziness, but i’m sure the rumor would never have floated up in the first place if she had been acting responsible. but apparently she did SOMETHING stupid. and she has no one to blame but herself. still, it would be nice if the media gave her some privacy. it is HER life, after all.
