Get your furry butt off the stage Lee Da-hae!

07mkmf_leedaehae3.jpg

Wannabe singer Lee Da-hae proves that just because you look the part, doesn’t mean that you are the part. In other words, get your furry butt off the stage! Yes, Lee Da-hae is gorgeous with her pale flawless complexion and her tiny flabby waist, but that’s all she has to contribute. Her singing is dismal. In fact, she’s not singing, she’s lip syncing. The camera never does a close-up and she manages to cover her mouth with the microphone the whole time. However, she does have some talent. She can twirl a drum stick. And to prove her talent, she did it twice!

Although the woman practiced drumstick twirling and lip syncing for over a month, it was all in vain. Lee Da-hae shows us that wearing a sexy get-up with padding on your butt and drumstick twirling does not mean that you can be a singer. Talent, even if it comes in the unattractive form of JYP or Kim Jo-han, should win over looks any day. Period.

We do not love your rock n’ roll.

Watch Lee Da-hae’s performance here.

For being an actress and not a singer, I think she did an awesome job!!!! This beautiful actress can act, sing, and play the drums. That’s amazing…hard work pays…Can’t wait to see her in a new drama in December..fighting!!!!

  7. 7 PopSeoul Lover! November 18, 2007 at 3:03 pm

I like her as an actress more. She has a beautiful body but why is she dressed like that??!!!

  8. 8 hellaakon November 18, 2007 at 3:05 pm

yup…i respect her for trying but i think her singing career just started and ended. haha.

but it’s all in good fun right? she’s a great actress and, of course, g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s. sigh. *daydreams* :)

  9. 9 annie November 18, 2007 at 3:07 pm

her drumming was superb! it wasn’t just twirling, the girl KNOWS HOW TO PLAY! so HOTT! she was so into and knows how to work a crowd, even the artists in the crowd!

  12. 12 sasuke November 18, 2007 at 3:56 pm

This is so lame. She has an innocent look, and this look just looks so awkward on her.

  13. 13 mungli November 18, 2007 at 4:53 pm

“Talent, even if it comes in the unattractive form of JYP or Kim Jo-han, wins over looks any day. Period.”

lols, and thats why freaks-r-us, or superjunior as theyre also known as have won awards.. so sad but ur statement is not true..

  14. 14 sang kyu November 18, 2007 at 5:03 pm

her outfit from the waist down is hot

  15. 15 ... November 18, 2007 at 5:09 pm

are u crazy popseoul? so what if she lip syncs.. most of the artists lip sync when there is an awesome performace happening.. she entertained the audience didnt she? and its not like it wasnt her song.. she sang it.. go to the mnet website and there is a video of her rehearsal.. u dont know anything about any other artist but super junior.. oh and fyi they lip sync too.. their reason is because they cant sing live.. *sighs* i dont know who popseoul is biast to now..

  16. 16 popseoul November 18, 2007 at 5:23 pm

    mungli…the sad reality…
@… there is a difference between bad lipsyncing and good…

  17. 17 annie November 18, 2007 at 5:34 pm

amd hers is bad how so? the crowd sure didn’t think it was bad. if even the actual musicians were having a blast watching her, what’s your problem popseoul?

  18. 18 uhuh November 18, 2007 at 5:45 pm

    wahahahahaha fury butt lol

  19. 19 Hany November 18, 2007 at 6:44 pm

    All I can say is..
“Never let an actress to sing because they only know how to act..” (exception for those muti-talented entertainers)

    Fury butt!! Wakakakakaka!!

  20. 20 daenarys November 18, 2007 at 8:12 pm

    popseoul off the mark here!

To all those who say she’s a bad popact: She said upfront she’s not trying to be a singer / going for a pop career. She’s an MC who tried to make the event fun & energetic for the audience, and from what I’ve seen she did it!!!

As it was a music event, she took on the role of a whacky rock chic, and juz played it up all night long - this gurl is soooo coooollll! Can’t wait for her next drama with Jang Hyuk…hehe.

And that furry butt? It raised the roof when she shook it in the audiences’ face, hehehe!

She’s a beautiful intelligent talented young actress with a cool sense of humour who doesn’t take herself too seriously. She did great!

  21. 21 Dumpling November 18, 2007 at 11:09 pm

That was embarassing. I couldn’t even finish watching it, it was making me feel weird. When she pidgeon toed her way over to the weird guy who was perched on that stool thing, I knew it was time to call it quits. That was lousy, lousy, lousy and she should stop it.

  22. 22 anonymous-y November 18, 2007 at 11:24 pm

just be an actress, ldh. don’t EVER repeat a performance as lame and trying-too-hard as this… kudos for the guts, though!

  23. 23 YooYoo November 19, 2007 at 12:06 am

I know popseoul only like Lee Hyori! Lee Da-hae… fighting!

  24. 24 Em November 19, 2007 at 6:37 am

Lee Da Hae should be a model with that bod…but why’s she trying so hard to be what she’s so horrible at?? Some ppl are saying that she should return to acting but naw~ she’s got horrible acting skills.

  25. 25 Stephaine November 19, 2007 at 6:49 am

i cant watch it can anyone help me?

  26. 26 Cat November 19, 2007 at 7:34 am

I can’t watch it either. It just keeps telling me to open it or save it. I already have Flash Player, but it still doesn’t work.

  27. 27 Mel November 19, 2007 at 9:10 am

what do you mean she should return to acting? she’s never left it! she was never going to be a singer people! i can’t believe people still can’t get it through their heads that her performance was just for the show. popseoul, i blame you for misleading these people, thanks to your two entries suggesting she’s starting up a career in singing. why don’t you try to be a little less of an anti’s blog, and report more accurate information, instead of biased ones, that all they do is served to fuel unwarranted bashing?

SHE ROCKED THE HOUSE LAST NIGHT! she LOOKED AND ACTED fully the part! she had every right to be on that stage, she owned that stage with her performance!

Em: she’s definitely not a horrible actress. it’s unfortunate for you that you can’t appreciate that.

  28. 28 ... November 19, 2007 at 11:13 am

    well said Mel.

she said dont worry im not going to be a singer

Then she knows she can’t sing, but still gave it a try! Shouldn’t we applaud her for being sporting instead of critisizing her?

  30. 30 Dovey November 19, 2007 at 5:17 pm

    I don’t like her pants…ewww.

  31. 31 bullhot November 19, 2007 at 6:15 pm

    popseoul, ok ka lng?

  32. 32 april85 November 19, 2007 at 7:15 pm

    i liked her before.

now i realized actor/actress is just playing their script.
i will never fall in love with her cute drama again after i see her like this. she sell her body clearly.

and yes, she’s not good at singing.

  33. 33 The Machine November 19, 2007 at 7:21 pm

How is her body hot? She’s so undefined. Skinny yeah but she’s just a skinny-fat. No point showing your stomach if you have nothing defined, tight, and toned to show.

Bleh. So many asian skinny fats, I just want to throw them in a damn gym instead of their “diets” re: starvation.

Anyways her perf sucked big time.

  34. 34 luvlilia November 19, 2007 at 8:12 pm

april85, sorry to say but you sound so superficial and if that’s the case it’s better for LDH not to have a fan like you anyway… “she sell her body clearly?” um, okay… isn’t it just a script? or you do not realize that actors jobs is to…act? pity you.
The Machine, “skinny-fat?” um, okay… she may not be ripped with muscles and a 6-pack, but she’s not fat or flabby either. you don’t have to have muscles all over your body to be defined. and that’s what makes her look so beautiful and feminine, she has shape and a natural s-line without the need for biceps, a 6-pack, and whatnot.

    Lee Dahae FIGHTING!!!

  35. 35 yellows November 19, 2007 at 11:12 pm

lee da hae rocks!! even if she lipsynched her way through the whole performance, those people who didnt enjoy it should just shut the **** up!!

Those who are shallow to the core should also shut the **** up and look at their reflection in the mirror!!

  36. 36 ripgal November 20, 2007 at 12:55 am

Yea ppl don’t get the point that it’s just a performance..
Too bad that fans are leaving her because of this..
I thought she rocked the stage, despite her lip synching.. (well she’s not a singer, so what?)

  37. 37 Qin November 20, 2007 at 5:47 am

im starting not to like LDH anymore. She’s pretty, but she’s abusing her power of pretty. She matches more as an innocent and cute person, NOT someone who’s tring to bust everyone’s ears with her screaming. what’s up with the pants?? it looks just akward.
Do you guys see the bruise on her back??? (above her fanny) i wonder how she got it…maybe she used some kind of mystery shot that makes her shake her hips like crazy!!!

  38. 38 whasup! November 20, 2007 at 6:29 am

man, ya’ll a bunch of haters! let the girl do her thang. who says she has to be all cute and innocent all the time? n just cause she can rock at being sexy don’t mean she can’t/ n isn’t still cute and innocent. ya’ll need to get that straight. at least she’s multi-faceted and multi-dimensional. i’ve followed this girl’s career and i know her to be intelligent with a rockin personality. owning it with this performance just goes to show that even more. the performance was so far from being slutty or “trying too hard” whateva that is. if anything it shows a strong women full of confidence who knows how to have fun. not uptight like some of you haters here.
for you people who are not liking her anymore just because of this, take a chill pill seriously, learn to live life with a lil spice in it will ya? how many of you will have an opportunity like her and can own it like her? and still come out looking classy? got that right, lee da-hae is the shizzil!

  39. 39 Yin November 20, 2007 at 7:11 am

she should become a drummer. ^^ she’s got more talent for that than singing. acting and drumming- what an eclectic mix ^^

  40. 40 suho November 20, 2007 at 7:59 am

IM GONA MARRY THIS GIRL! she can twirl her drumstick for me anyday!HAHA
    seriously that was hawt!

  41. 41 iloveyou November 20, 2007 at 2:03 pm

can at least anyone tell me how to watch it?
    pleaseee

  42. 42 Tiffany November 20, 2007 at 6:13 pm

I love her acting skills, but not her singing skills.

She should only stick to acting and that’s it.

  43. 43 wunan November 20, 2007 at 9:25 pm

    drop of respect level!! hahaha

  44. 44 Star November 20, 2007 at 10:02 pm

I liked Lee Dae Hae as an actress but she turned into an actress turned singer!! She is pretty and is a very good actor but she can ONLY look the part of one..she cant really sing…i’m not bashing her tho..ldh fans. She is havin her butt all around tho like in that mv and now..plus when her skirt was too short that she had to pull it down..

  45. 45 yellows November 20, 2007 at 10:44 pm

u can watch her performance on youtube

  46. 46 AMP101 November 21, 2007 at 2:41 am

Star- WHAT SKIRT? she wasn’t wearing any skirt in the MV or during the perf. have no idea what you’re talking about…
    ____________________

uhh…excuse me, she knows more than just twirling a drum stick -
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHitTVVQk6U

~you people should respect the fact that she has skills and was able to pull off a great performance despite not being a singer. man… go find something more important to bitch about rather than ripping on a poor girl who succeeded in doing her part as MC for the night :X!

  47. 47 Alan Merrill November 21, 2007 at 1:59 pm

    To all,
I sang the first released version of “I love rock n roll,”
and I saw Lee Da Hae’s performance of my song “I love rock n roll,” and I thought she was perfect.
When I wrote it, it was meant as a song of seduction, not an angry punk song. So, in my opinion her interpretation was on target! She was gorgeous, saucy, and sexy.
Hats off to you Ms. Lee Da Hae.
She interpreted my vision of the song with intuitive integrity, being the talented actress that she is.
I welcome her to the “I love rock n roll” legacy.
As one who has done bi-lingual CD singles
(Japanese & English) myself, I salute her
    for her innovative pioneering bravery!
    Cheers,
    Alan Merrill
    Composer/ Arrows/ 1975/ “I love rock n roll” -

  48. 48 Lovelywu November 21, 2007 at 7:58 pm

I don’t know lee da hae is singer too…But it’s ok… Lee da hae.. fighting…

  49. 49 Saebin November 21, 2007 at 9:56 pm

lol at her pants. whats with the fur?
    but uh..”tiny flabby waist”?

  50. 50 jeanie November 26, 2007 at 6:29 am

um, she can more than just twirl drum sticks!
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5omadccCc1o

and she even said afterwards she never planned on pursuing a singing career, and that yes, she knows she can’t sing. i bet she knew about these criticisms beforehand but still put up a strong face and did her best with the performance, despite all the naysayers. and guess what? she still brought the house down…better than anyone could’ve imagined! mad props for this girl! she’s a true class act and a true professional. we should give this girl our respect (for being an awesome MC this year and for one of the best, if not the best, lady-MKMF performance ever!). i mean, she pretty much pwned all the naysayers LOL go lee da hae!

  51. 51 viviene h. November 27, 2007 at 3:49 pm

    For those of you curious:
Before Joan jett, before Britney, and before Lee Da
    Hae.
The Arrows original 1975 “I love rock n roll”,
the band who wrote and recorded the first
    version of the song.

I think Lee Da Hae is terrific! Gorgeous!
She did a great job with the song.

  53. 53 Steve November 28, 2007 at 1:39 pm

Lee Da Hae is a breath of fresh air in the rock scene!
To all of you who don’t like her performance of
“I love rock and roll”, well, you are out of touch, and
out of time. This is a new millennium.
Move over and let the young generation have fun!
Lee Da Hae is a new super pop princess. A professional.
    Good bye Britney.
    Hello Lee Da hae!

she can sing better than jyp

  57. 57 mellie December 24, 2007 at 2:07 pm

wow what a bunch of haters! how can people talk so much trash about another that they don’t even know on a personal level. who made you god? do you have a hot banging body, can you sing a perfect tune, are you perfect? seriously, stop being so damn shallow and superficial. just bc she’s a public figure doesn’t give you the right to judge her. people like you make others have self esteem problems. also, popseoul stop posting inaccurate info and confusing the fans. you guys are being bias and doing unnecessary bashing. lee da hae clearly said she wasn’t trying to be a singer. BTW i think lee da hae did a great job, i wish i can play the drum like that.

  58. 58 htet su aung December 25, 2007 at 3:48 pm

whatever she did , I always like her.

  59. 59 coolkid January 17, 2008 at 6:57 am

omg she is awesome! and besides she doesn’t even consider herself as a “singer” she did this for CHARITY! and all the profits she made for this CD & etc, it’s ALL donated to charity. and she’s awesome. i will always support lee dae hae in whatever she does!<3

  60. 60 Nora from CA, USA January 18, 2008 at 2:23 pm

Anybody can try any project in this modern age. So, leave Lee Da Hae alone. She did a real good job in that Mnet KM Musical Festival 2007 as an emcee & a singer/dancer. What’s your problem, the audience enjoyed her performance very much. Some real singer could not even sing or dance good, they just make noise. Lot of jealous people, too bad for them because they could not even make the stage or the screen.

  61. 61 Xav January 27, 2008 at 8:17 pm

At least she was intertaining, and you got to give her points for just being hotter then hell…

oh and I love her crying scenes. She’s like the “Cry Princess” of Korea.

  62. 62 yana January 28, 2008 at 10:47 pm

maybe she didn’t sing and dance well
but she can play the drums
she is doing this for the charity :)

  63. 63 ichaichaparadise February 18, 2008 at 4:27 pm

yeah.. i watched her performance on the other day, and it was sucks as hell! twirling the drumstick? we already knew the oldtrick, though..

  64. 64 guest February 18, 2008 at 6:45 pm

She try too hard and too much. Better stick on acting tough.

  65. 65 Cecelia February 19, 2008 at 9:50 am

Ugh. Whatever. At least the girl is trying her best. So stop HATING CUZ IT AIN’T GOT NOTHING ON HER BAKAS!!!

  66. 66 hr March 3, 2008 at 9:23 pm

yeah, get your butt off the stage! :D
she think she’s multi-talented? improve ur acting skill too. her ‘cutey’ act is so fake!!

  67. 67 Mae March 11, 2008 at 11:52 pm

LEE DA HAE is still the best!!

She’s young and she’s having some fun.

She only did the performance because she’s the HOST and it’s tradition.

She definitely can act, no question about it. She did a great job with hosting the show and actually her performance was good. (Some of the performer are even worst)

Give KUDDOS for the girl please! She’s definitely the best!

    STOP BEING JEALOUS! IT’S PATHETIC.

  68. 68 MARIAH March 18, 2008 at 9:37 am

  70. 70 butternut April 6, 2008 at 8:59 am

It doesn’t matter..I think she really did a good job as this was her first performance, anybody can’t be a singer but anyone can sing, it may not be likable in someone’s eye’s & perception but to others it is. She did pretty well, I think she did a great performance.

  71. 71 shahera May 11, 2008 at 11:06 pm

  75. 75 aeggie November 29, 2008 at 2:03 pm

what do you have against her? you cynical person~
She’s really pretty and she’s not a bad singer. So shut your mouth. You’re allowed to talk when you go up on stage with your huge flabby waste and pumpkin bun. Go wave your furry ass (without the pants probably).
