In MC Hammer pants, army boots and slutty top, JYP stepped on the stage for a mini showcase mixing the old and new in a 4 song performance (Don’t leave me, Honey with Wondergirls, That house you live in and Kiss) at the 2007 Mnet KM Music Festival (MKMF). Despite his penchant for all things shiny, JYP got the crowd pumping with his tight beats and sexy dancers.
However, watching JYP’s comeback performance, all I could think of was the ex-JYP star, Rain. If Rain had sang these songs, the performance would have been hella sexier and we could actually watch the performance with interest instead of just glancing at the screen. Maybe if JYP wore something shiny over his head- like a shiny bag, then the performance would have been tolerable to watch.
But we are stuck with JYP.
As long as we just listen to his music, all will be ok.

I can’t really blame Rain for dumping JYP now….Can you imagine the dancing advise Rain had to endure? All that touchy fingers stuff from JYP–Yuck!.
Rain should write a tell-all autobiography in English .. I won’t buy his CDs or concert ticket but I’ll buy his book. Hey, that’s how you enter the US market, Rain!!

JYP is so creepy! he needs to go light a cigar and retire to Texas where he will stop trying to liberalize Korea. one of the main reasons why i became interested in south korea in the first place is because of how clean yet interesting their culture is compared to the US. JYP…. spare us the nightmares… go retire!

Rain’s fashion and that perm he had at one time has always been questionable to me anythings.
JYP’s voice is good, the song’s good, the dance moves are bearble. And not everyone one can be a born or is ‘made’ into a pretty boy. If anything, JYP’s comeback adds a bit of spice to the current kpop scene.
I’ve got to admit JYP is truely one of the most talented and creative in the business. He’s done a lot for K-Music and seems to have all the right hook ups in the States.
Regardless of all the criticism (which I agree with at times), you have to give Credit when Credit is Due.
I find his comeback an little uneasy, but he is a great live-performer and musician. He had everyone standing and getting into it during is spot on the MKMF.
If he really wanted to, I believe JYP can just find another good-looking back-up dancer with a semi-decent voice, and build the next RAIN. After this reviewing this past year, of RAIN antics, I agree with those who believe RAIN is nothing w/o JYP.
Let this be a lesson to all and especailly RAIN & his greedy father, DON’T BITE THE HAND THAT FEEDS YOU.

I had always been against Popseoul for bashing artiste like suju and stuffs but for once i agree with this post..cos i never like JYP myself. JYP is way too old for stuff like this. I can say that he’s not a bad composer or for piecing together dance routines (choreography), but he’s just way way too old for this stuff. It’s sick.
