Korea’s most wanted k-pop stars paraded to Jamsil Olympic Stadium yesterday to attend Korea’s biggest music event, 2007 Mnet KM Music Festival (MKMF) in the pouring rain. The results were somewhat expected, but it’s also creating a fan-war online. Who do you think bagged the most number of awards?

FT Island – Best New Boy Band & Mnet Popular Artist

The Most Potential Lip boys are also the Best New Boy Band. Although seeing the talentless Super Junior mob giving FT Island talents the award did not sit so well with my stomach, at least the award was given to someone who deserved it this year. Congrats boys!

Younha – New Solo Artist

Yunha owned this award hands down when she debuted early this year. Who else has the talent and the looks to outwin Yunha? (No, it’s not a hard question)

Wondergirls – New Girl Group

The Tell Me virus spreaders won not only the MKMF girl’s dance battle or Battle of the Princesses, but also the New Girl Group Award. I guess even the top squeakers can receive an award in the industry if have father JYP mentoring every move.

Yangpa – Best Ballad Song

Thank God that fashion disaster singer Yangpa did not show up in her usual lacey shirt to the awards ceremony. Her awards acceptance speech was as boring as her outfit.

Lee Seung Ki - Best Male Singer

Hmm..how does this kid manages to win an award every year when he only had one original song?

Clazziquai – House & Electric

Love the music and love Alex’s pecs even more.

SG Wannabe – Best R&B Group

The three talents were surprised to receive this award because they believe themselves to be medium-tempo group. Just shut-up and receive the award. We all love you regardless of the genre.

Cherry Filter – Best Rock Music

No doubt that Cheery Filter is talented, but I haven’t seen anything new from them this year, so why the award? Rock Music needs better representation in the industry.

Big Bang – Best Male Group and Song of the Year

Little YGites did it again and they truly deserve their awards, but Taeyang needs to loose the fake fur. He looks like a sad pimp wannabe who will get beat up as soon as he steps outside his house.

Super Junior – Netizen Award, Popular Mobile Song and Singer of the Year

Sigh. What can I say but to mourn at the current sad state of K-pop? Super Junior winning the Singer of the Year not only insults the handful of talented singers in the industry, but it’s an embarrassment. And the two other awards are not even real awards, so they don’t count in my book.

Epik High - Best Hip Hop Group of the Year and Album of the Year

Tablo gave the most depressing acceptance speech ever. He talked about the challenges with his management company and his own depression. Why bring the mood down at such a festive event? Anyhow, congrats!

TSZX the Grace – Best Dance Music

What the hell are they wearing? It looks like their stylist went wild with a roll of pink tape. Lee Minwoo was pissed that TSZX received the award instead of himself so decided not to show up at the event.

Seeya – Best Girl Group

No, that’s not Seeya in the picture, it’s SG Wanna be Kim Yong Jun. Seeya failed to attend the event because their stylist exhausted all different colors of their puffy wedding dress outfit and could not come up with anything new.

Ivy – Best Female Singer

Nobody expected the MIA singer Ivy to show up, but fans were still disappointed.

Shinhwa – Popular Overseas Artist

We know why M didn’t show up, but how about the rest? The longest running boy band group is playing hard to get as usual.
