Gender confused Coffee Princess Yoon Eun Hye graces the pages of the December 2007 issue of Vogue yet again. The concept for this photo shoot is “a human as a swan” and she does it to the tee - Yoon rocks the most expensive clothes while looking like a freak who got electrocuted while playing with a mound of dough.

she looks… scary. she seriously looks as if she just left the nut house..
interesting concept….i know her hair is probably suppose to be that way for the photoshoot but it looks so damaged..dry and straw-like, like the hair of cheap plastic dolls. but i really like her last picture.
Never really like her in the first place…watch most of her drama already..and i dont think she is that good (as people might claim)
However most of the time she made a good pic for magazine..but this one is excluded!!!euw…ugly…
hey Popseoul,
you did’nt included her other pictures, well i think you just purposely did it just to criticize her.. I bet I’m right.. well to all guys who’s saying that her looks were so ugly. you can see her other pictures including this which will be out for the December 2007 Vogue Girl magazene…you’re making me sick Popseoul.,..
agreed with muetans! I really hate the way popseoul criticize and ridicule celebrities. Is it your job? You did very very good job. Congrat!
she can’t pull off this look.
its a very hard concept and she can’t pull it off…
she just has a plain cute face.. shes not too pretty but cute instead. her height is great for modeling cause in pictures she comes off looking long and lean…
is it just me or is she somewhat overrated? her acting has improved and her fanbase has expanded to the max. so there are soo many defensive fans out there lol.. which i don’t mind but please.. this is just one person’s view on her.
i agree with muetans, popseoul seems to critiscize everyone when it really isnt a big deal.
the concept is new and refreshing….but definitely scary!
at least they are creative and aren’t copying….
Another hilarious piece by Popseoul… Dang, I love you guys… Personally I don’t like this girl that much but I guess as long as her fans do…
yoon eun hye always does such unique photo shoots. i think she’s generally a good model.
I think she looks cool in those photos. Please stop criticising that she is a freak or something and i guess, you are not appreciative of this kind od artistic photography. YEH definitely rocks!
the photos deserve better reviews/comments
Lol. If you ever make the mistake of putting a hate word + a popular K-celebrity’s name in one article then expect a truckload of rabid fangirls/boys coming after you like mad dogs *lmao* Funny how these fans react when you can actually read the word “rocks” in the article as well.
Anyway, in my opinion I think the shots themselves are very artistic. The lighting, and even the empty space around her seems so dramatic. YEH did rock this photoshoot. Yeah her hair makes her look electrocuted but it definitely adds to the whole drama. The only thing I wish for them to have done is to make her hair atleast look a bit softer or shiny so it would look like it was naturally raised.
i Love her poses.. i think she’s pretty good, very modeL-Like. i just dont Like the hair…
When your article mentioned ‘Swan’, my first thoughts of these photos were ‘The Ugly Duckling’!
The photoshoots look very avant-garde, and although I can’t get used to it, I’d say not everyone can pull off this photoshoot and she’s done relatively well.
Now if only they can do something with that hair…
I can never understand the appeal of her. I want to like her, but I just can’t.
she’s so overrated
Am I the only who love these shoots ? I think they are very artistic with an interesting concept and Yoon pulls it off very well. The electric hair is kinda cool too, it matches the smoky, dull background. And it’s refreshing rare for a female to have that kinda of hairdo.
This photoshoot is deserved better comments. I am not fan of her btw (but I like her poses in all the photoshoots)
Looks like she’s very professional as a model too..
How does someone go about looking ‘hot’ or ‘cute’ or even ’sexy’ when the shoot concept is “a human as a swan”.. ?
I like how she’s not afraid to challenge the popular notion of beauty in her acting roles or model shoots. ^^
the concept is weird…not liking the angles or the shoot in general. for such dramatic clothes and poses, the lighting is horrible. it’s too bland for me. yoon eun hye is pretty…she’s ok in acting…but she’s still a newbie and still exploring other roles. i also agree with its_trish about how she’s not afraid to challenge the popular notion of beauty. i admire that.
but, please less whiny characters before i shoot myself…actually, that should be for the writers. i feel like the only characters that exist in kdramas are…whiny, bitchy, sweet, cute and sympathetic and sassy. there’s no dynamic there at all and nothing in between.
also, why do people read popseoul and complain about them criticizing people…that is what popseoul does…if you haven’t figured that out yet, it’s what makes it interesting. if you want plain gossip, you’ve got everywhere else for that.
.
she’s so skinny now. i love her, hands down
i just don’t see how this is fashion…or whatever the hell it’s supposed to be.
and i see no swan in Yoon Eunhye…?
it’s not her though, it’s the photoshoot, the idea and everything is just ridiculous.
Blame the creative director of the photo shoot.
YEH is just doing her job. I love her legs.
You don’t have to be pretty to model. Ha-ha.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Isn’t Halloween already over??? Blame this on the people who came up with the idea. I think she is so cute =D
oh wow
dont hate her
hate the hair-stylist people~…
She looks gorgeus. Actually, she always looks nice in every magazine. I think YEH is a very good model… she’s not that good as an actress though.
she’s cool!
wow! YEH noona still looks hot despite the freaky theme!
and to the person who’s commenting against the fans who are defending their star— DUH! why wouldnt we? of course we would you retard!
@CubeO > if YEH isnt a good actress, then why is she so popular and successful and why do all her dramas do well?
She is obviously doing something right.
Keeping on topic, the theme is rather, errm, whats the word, “different” but YEH as usual, manages to pull it off, adding her own individual touch to it.
I cant imagine any other female celebrity popping this shoot as well as YEH.
i take it that some people in the few beginnings are new to popseoul? lol majority already know the concept of popseoul’s writing or could guess how they writes so many dont even bother to “flame” popseoul anymore
back to the topic, I really dont understand fashion.. the entire trend of the “adam family” is.. really… something..
unless this is for an “unique” party will someone have their styles like that.. but walking out in broaddaylight of a normal day who would wear/dresses themselve up like such?
but i do like the last picture
what is with the hair?
they should have shined it up a bit, giving it a less dusty feel…….. but she still looks ok i guess, please dont bash me YEH fanatics!
btw, this girl is really popular!
i never would have imagined this ex-babyvox member to reach this status of popularity.
i visited Korea a few days ago, and she’s nearly surpassed hyori!
YEH’s face is everywhere!
@sunshii: It’s just my opinion but I think she overacts…
what is up with the theme??
freaky freaky!
but hey as the sayin goes, hate the game not the player! LOL!
although, i must admit this lady is not that bad as a model.
and for all the noobs, as someone previously mentioned, POPSEOUL has always been a bitch to celebrities… like who always wants to read the good stuff, it’ll just be plain old boring!
as a long time reader, ive noticed YEH, Wonder Girls, SUJU, DBSK and JJH fans are very defensive, but then the latter (ie, SUJU, DBSK, JJH)have many antis here, LOL’s
usually when we say “swan” we associate it with “calmness” and “beauty”. the photos were def. beautiful but theres also a touch of intensity. i think YEH managed to pull off the look very well. her expressions were pretty good. if you guys are complaining abt her hair and outfit then i guess you should be nagging the fashion consultants of vogue and not her. she does not look ugly but fierce and strong. haters get the fuck out. its ok to accept the fact tht you guys are no match for her. at 24 shes got everything you’d only dream of so boo hoo haters. smone also mentioned smthing abt not being able to wear these clothes outside. i mean half the stuff you see on the runways are barely wearable anywhere but the runway. its jus abt showing the designers creativity and originality. how stupid can you be reli.
the clothes are nice but what the heck is with that hairstyle??
horrendous.
“a freak who got electrocuted while playing with a mound of dough.”
cool description. i can’t stop thinking what kind of dough she’s playing…
aren’t the colors a bit Sweeney Todd? these art directors are always quoting something, somebody.
anyway she’s fine on her own, but not as a swan. that’s for ballerinas and figure skaters who can work their contours. unless it’s a sick swan drowning in oil spill.
I like the concept but her makeup and hair looks horrible.
eww…i thought a swan is supposed to be beautiful not a freak of nature
i thought the main picture was a video game picture
like ya no final fantasy and what not
silly me
yoon eun hye!!!!!
this is a very different and artistic concept.
I LIKE IT! SHE’S DAMN FINE
yoon eun hye definitely pulls it off
unlike…
kim ah joong who can’t pull off anything (reference to your previous posts on her horrible vogue shoots).
I think the concept’s intriguing and unique..and I do like the angles of the shoot. But the hair has to go, it looks really freaky and horrendous on beautiful YEH.
for the peeps who doesn’t like popseoul’s reviews…why the hell are you guyz even in here to read?? geez.
Those are some fierce poses. I like them. Very high fashion.
sexy! ^___________________^
Must say hats off to her. I used to dislike her a lot cause she was hugely overrated in Goong, Babyvox, and whatever it was she did. But since then, she’s really grown to be quite a great actor and an awesome model. Most stars can only look good/smiley in photoshoot, but YEH could actually look like a model. She’s growing so much and becoming so versatile.
If you can’t appreciate the artistic value of these pictures don’t talk about what you cannot understand. Yes she looks slightly manic but it adds to the whole concept that the photographer envisioned. “A freak who got electrocuted…” there’s a purpose for making her makeup/hair that way so even if YOU couldn’t see the purpose it doesn’t mean that there isn’t a purpose.
Also I read all the past articles and I have to say that I enjoy them a lot more then the current stuff you put out.
ew. fugly.
whatever, the photos are creative and she is an amazing actress
WHOAAAAAAAA. She’s born to do these. *thumbs up*
well most people here say its ugly,, well its supposed to be like that!!!.. but she’s a scary gorgeous.. i like her from beggining to the end.. go yoon eun hye!!!! she’s born fashionista!!!
When I first saw these photos in another site, I seriously, SERIOUSLY thought that the photoshoot was channeling Albert Einstein/madscientist/ballerina.
She’s very diverse when it comes to modelling though.
I don’t see her as a human swan at all. Well, the depiction of it doesn’t come to mind to me as one. lol And her hair is horrible. XD
you know, this gir can really pose for the camera!
i just wish she’d eat more, though. she’s so skinny..! ugh!
when posting up magazine spreads or other shoots i think u should criticize the concept of the photoshoots or the clothes but don’t criticize the models (unless they really suck at modeling). it’s not their idea. if she looked like that in real life then i can understand why u’d criticise her look.
that’s just my opinion it’s ur blog u can do whatever u want (hey, i’d still read it!) i just saw some comments against u so i figure u could prevent some of these negative comments if u criticised the right things?
ah, she looks excellent!
Aww. I love the pictures!
As “annie” put it: “”i just saw some comments against u so i figure u could prevent some of these negative comments if u criticised the right things?”"
I think the main blogger for POPSEOUL has changed cos the past few blogs have been very shallow and simply put, ridiculous.
Just wanting to sound harsh with no depth behind it.
Yoon Eun Hye looks gorgeous…. her versatility is abounding!
she’s rockin the whole look!
love YEH!!
give up acting for modeling.
Scary sh*t looks like she just come out off a trash can.
can’t say this girl is pretty or gorgeous because she’s not. But she is handsome(?) She would’ve been better as a guy.
“quote”
Scary sh*t looks like she just come out off a trash can.
“quote”
LOL i wanna get into a trash can
btw…imagine sung yuri with that image. ha!
^ why you don’t think yuri can pull it off?
yuri has better features than eun hye.
no offense to the fans.
like i said before its a hard concept to pull off
^ haha, Yuri doesnt have sh!t compared to YEH!
Plus, Yuri wouldnt do something as daring as this in the first place because she’s too scared to move out of her sheltered image!
@Em Kay: go f#ck yourself you transvestite!
I have told you poseoul, whatever YEH worn she looked beaitifull still. Why you much fussy and criticized about her looked after all. I think YEH shows best phptosoot in this concept, she looks cool, proffesionals, and of course she never can be rate.
i agree with you the the pics were really artistic..but any model would have look good at them..plus everyone knows and i mean everyones in korea knows she went under the knife…all though i love coffe prince and her character, plastic is still plastic..
whatever! YEH rocks! ^^
hahA! i tHInk sHE is RockEn dis Look she should stick wid it! and uh i think popseoul is liddo to mean for sayen dese stuff but its alrite i gues everyone has there own opinion.^^
she is so overrated.
yes, popseoul does tend to criticize a bit much for everybody.
but like i said
YEH is overrated and isn’t exceptionally great of an actress.. nor is she extremely beautiful.
shes just a cute korean girl. thats all.
sunshii- Yoon Eun Hye may be doing something right, but its definitely NOT acting. She’s overrated, and my interest in her dropped incredibly after Coffee Prince. Annoyed the hell out of me in that drama. She should just model..
uhm..yeah..she’s a nice swan… *looks down to shoes*
I like that she is willing to take chanes, I just don’t like this photoshoot
the angles & shots & facial expressions are sharp & so good!love it!=)
Jane. it doesn’t really matter that you are annoyed by her because obviously she is doing something right with her acting because she is getting good praises from film critics for her acting.
Sorry to disappoint you but you’ll be seeing more of her whether you like it or not.

From the 19th to the 27th of November, StarNews carried out their own 2007 Acting Awards, combining all 2 stations. StarNews surveyed a total 17 Chief Producers (CP) 5 from KBS, 7 from MBC and 5 from SBS - in nominating and selecting the winners.
◆대상=박신양
Grand Acting Award = Park Shin Yang (SBS - Money Warfare)
◆최우수연기상(남자)=배용준
Best Outstanding Actor = Bae Yong Jun (MBC - TWSSG)
◆최우수연기상(여자)=김희애
Best Outstanding Actress - Kim Hee Ae (SBS - My Man’s Woman)
◆우수연기상(남자)=최수종
◆Outstanding Actor = Choi Su Jong (KBS - Dae Jo Yong)
Outstanding Actress= Yoon Eun Hye (MBC- The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince )
◆우수연기상(여자)=윤은혜
If we hadn’t discovered Yoon Eun Hye, who started out as a member of an idol group, and her abilities as an actress, it would have been a devastating loss. Starting with MBC’s “Goong”, then KBS2’s “The Vineyard Man” and again with MBC’s “Coffee Prince”, YEH had created and re-created the new ideal “tomboy” model, hence raising the standard of female roles in Korean Dramas.
Moreover, YoonEun Hye’s acting style is all natural. The liveliness bursting out of YEH’s petite body sprang natural life into her character. Her free and unrestrained acting and unimpeded line delivery gave vitality and animation into “Coffee Prince”’s crossing dressing “Eun Chan” and elevated the role to its peak. The Chief Producer’s who had evaluated YEH and her acting had assessed YEH as having great potential for success. Upon this evaluation, the Chief Producer’s slapped their knees as if they had unearthed a great phenomenon.
(note: in Korean culture, “slapping one’s knee” means discovering or coming to a realization of something).

I like her, I think the concept is cool, but she looks way too cute to pull it off ^^
^jealousy is a very ugly disease.
hello im fan of yoon eun hye…………
some people juz don’t know the art of photography… LOL!
i agree with u blank..
it’s an art..n she fits it jz nice
“Yoon Eun Hye may be doing something right, but its definitely NOT acting. She’s overrated” -Jane
why do u think she’s overrated..to me she’s pretty good n she’s different..if that’s considered as overrated, then lee da hae is d same. sorry
I’m guessing that her hairstyle is based on the look of a baby swan’s gray down. It’s quite suitable, and the photos have more edge with it. They’ve also explored the advantages of Yoon Eun Hye’s androgeny, which I think deserves half the credit for the shoot’s success. The photographs in themselves are nice, although I’m not crazy about the distortion of what seems like a digital/manual.
I’m personally not a fan of Korean drama acting, I can see the point of devoted fans. All these drama actors are easy targets for someone looking to find fault, and given the eagerness of so many people in the world to criticize celebrities, what ends up happening is that these actors get insults they don’t necessarily deserve. Of course, then the angry, defensive fans get into position, and you begin having unreasonable arguments where no one wants to listen to the other.
A lot of people don’t tend to realize what a hard job acting is. Some acting jobs are harder than others, true, but in the end, you’re supposed to be emotional with a big black machine staring you down in the face. Any person who gets as far as the stage or screen deserves some credit. That doesn’t mean they’re worth unconditional support, but people who jump to criticize will probably find less angry opposition ready to argue hotly if they learn to do so properly, and contribute constructive and more thoughtful opinions.
This really proves that she is a great model
