The latest on Han Aeri

20071128_hanaeri

Ironically Han Aeri, the plastic lover in denial is enjoying the attention she’s getting from her plastic surgery gone bad. The girl uploaded a recent picture of herself to show the world that she is doing fine and to squash the rumors about her surgery, but that obviously did not happen because she covered up the facial feature we are all dying to see, her jaw line.

This news is losing its steam in Korean media, but it’s getting picked up by other international newspapers such as Singapore’s Electric New Paper bringing fame to Han Aeri, POPSEOUL! and POPSEOUL! commenters. Congratulations Helloakon, Qin, Kezrel & Ana – your thoughts were heard loud and clear. So our passionate readers, comment away because there’s somebody out there who’s interested in what you have to say.

  11. 12 sakura November 30, 2007 at 6:32 am

I can’t believe she is denying it and acting as if nothing major happened…. she nearly died!

  12. 13 Cutie November 30, 2007 at 6:40 am

    Hmm

    1) ‘Grats POPSEOUL! and commentors for being on the magazine :)

    2) The only thing I hated about it was the last part:

“After all, even the prettiest stars like Kim Tae Hee andLee Hyo Lee have got flak for failing to draw ratings because they lack acting skills.”

Okay, yes LHR doesnt have the best acting skills, but how could they say that about KTH…? Maybe its just me who feels this way… but still -_-”

Honestly, I dont care if people want to change their faces/etc. Since it really has nothing to do with me- and if it makes them feel better about themselves, its not like they have to get permission from others….. Plus, I cant blame everyone.
It may seem horrible to have plastic surgery. Maybe it might be because you dont have to do surgery, and might be satisfied with yourself.

But honestly- lets say you had a nose you hated. Seriously hated, to the point you feel like crying because you hate it to death but you believed there was no cure. Than theres “PLASTIC SURGERY”, and ta*da, after paying for surgery, undergoing pain, here you are with a new nose and self-confidence.
Once I came upon “korean school girls” etc, or something like that on youtube (I googled ganguro or something spelled like that). (seriously, those people who comment love comparing one race to another of whose pretter or not, but I dont think they realize that if your pretty or not has nothing to do with your country.)
And seriously, those comments can be harsh. They seriously can go into detail of how ugly the uglies are.

And after reading those, how might ‘non-pretty’ people feel?

To some, ’surgery’ is their hero. I know my friend almost broke down because she was worried that because she was unpretty, no one would marry her.

I’m not saying plastic surgery is 100% ‘good’, but its not simply trying to be look-alikes, or anything.

Considering this is a Aerie thread, I really shouldnt be ranting at all. So get well HAR!

P.S: On a Korean channel I watched way back, dont expect everyone with v-lines had surgery. This girl who was wanted a v-line badly said this: When washing your face, make sure theres lots of soap on your face, and clutch your fingers. Where your knockles are, massage your face, starting from your cheeks and down to your chin into v-line. Continue, and you’ll have a v-line!

    *phew*

  13. 14 Ana November 30, 2007 at 7:05 am

I doubt it. If she was covering her mouth then why is her whole philtrum showing cause just below her philtrum is her lips so if she’s trying to cover her mouth then she’s not well covered. She should’ve raised her cover a bit higher, but to me it looks like she’s trying to cover her jawline more than her mouth.Whether she’s telling the truth or not I hope this serves a lesson to all plastic surgey addicts who doesn’t know when to stop, cause just hearing a news about someone who nearly died because of plastic surgery is just sad to me.This girl doesn’t even need one. I’m glad she’s getting better.

  14. 15 Ptenk November 30, 2007 at 7:09 am

    I still maintain that she’s a douche bag :]

  30. 31 heyleadinglady November 30, 2007 at 5:11 pm

“and ohwells, i nv thought they really report someting current on KPop in singapore. ._. lmao. -.-”

Maybe that’s because you don’t read The New Paper. Because Singapore does update itself with korean news from time to time, and when it does, it is current. Just not every single korean news made available, that’s alllllll

  31. 32 daewanghumamaroxy November 30, 2007 at 10:28 pm

dude how do they have SO much money for surgery, isn’t she like not famous? how does she get all that money to do that, unless surgery is cheap there

  34. 35 Eunwhui December 1, 2007 at 8:02 am

    Hm.
I personally dislike Han Aeri, but I think that she should really learn from her lesson.
Sure, plastic surgery has its pros,
but it also has its cons.

  35. 36 sasuke December 1, 2007 at 1:05 pm

What are the pros of plastic surgery? Looking pretty? Jeez what a load of shiznit. People who get plastic surgery and have low self-esteem are basically saying that they are ungrateful for what they have.

What is so great if the only thing you are is “pretty”? If you are an a$$hole with a brain full of fluff, you’re not really worth much as a human being. You’re merely a plastic doll (or rather frankenstein or alien). And I noticed that when people become pretty after plastic surgery, they start acting all nice and cutesy even though they are really quite rotten, ungrateful people through and through.

Sure some people will say plastic surgery is understandable because people just want to emphasize the best parts of themselves. I think what matters is being happy about being yourself as you are!!! I hate how Koreans try to look Western. What’s so great about Western features when Korean features are exquisite in themselves?

  36. 37 sasuke December 1, 2007 at 1:10 pm

And usually mean people are the ones with self esteem issues. And they think that “maybe I will be nicer if I get plastic surgery, look great, and feel better about myself.” NO! That is not the way to go. You should be a great person no matter what you look like on the outside. People in this generation need to stop focusing on what lies on the surface. If you feel great you look great. Even if a person is beautiful on the outside, but is in actuality a snobby jerk, no one will care about him/her.

  37. 38 sasuke December 1, 2007 at 1:12 pm

(I know I’m rambling at this point, but here goes)

And for those of you who are jealous of “great” plastic surgery results~ no need to be!! You are beautiful if you feel good about who YOU are~ as you are!

  38. 39 Yin December 1, 2007 at 11:50 pm

It still surprises me that she doesn’t look as battered as she should. it doesn’t even look like she’s got anything wrong with her.

  39. 40 Tiffany December 2, 2007 at 3:20 pm

I would laugh if the surgery gone bad incident isn’t really as bad as the media expresses it. Or if the surgery didn’t even go bad, but she is using this as a way for fame.

    Just a thought!

  40. 41 Creamcreamstar December 3, 2007 at 1:19 pm

please, please, i’m begging someone, PLEASE push han aeri off a cliff!!!!!!!!!!!!! or at least give her a good kick in the butt.

  41. 42 joemama September 18, 2008 at 5:23 pm

i need to see some titties. then we’ll see if it was all worth it.
