Kim A-joong still has hair

20071129kimajoong1

For now it least.

Pantene used to be one of my favorite shampoos. Until I realized that the clumps of hair clogging the tub drain was due to harsh chemical based shampoos. Because of that, I switched to paraben-free and sulfate free hair products. The drain no longer is clogged and I still have my hair.

And I hope that Kim A-joong still has her hair. From the looks of it, her hair looks thick and healthy. Lucky ducky. The 200lb Beauty, the face of Pantene, was hawking the Shampoo and Treatment products yesterday. She also signed autographs for fans.

Notice the couple ring on 4th finger left hand.

    @ Susie

Start with Shampure. It’s wonderful. You can really use any of them but the Shampure is just their classic line and you can’t go wrong with it. The smell is Aveda’s signature scent and you will love it. It smells so good that you don’t even need perfume after showering. The scent on your hair will linger. It has some sandalwood notes and a lot of people really love it.

Also, Aveda’s styling products are great, too. I use a smoother/straightener called “Hang Straight”. Not only does it smooth the hair but the shine is incredible (the shine is the real reason I use the product, I don’t even care about the straightening part). This product is to be used by people who like to use a brush to straighten their hair as they blow-dry it. The heat of the dryer helps activate the shine. That’s because the product contains marshmallow root which is a natural shine enhancer.

Their facial products are also heavenly. But unless you are VERY familiar with your own skin I would recommend getting an esthetician’s recommendation on what to buy first. The products are good but certain things are made for certain kinds of skin, so ask for help.

If you have the good fortune to be able to get to an Aveda salon and can afford it, go for a facial some day. THAT is a treat.

Also, don’t know if you girls know this, but you are supposed to switch out your shampoo and conditioner every few months. So if you like Aveda and also Biolage, then use one for 3 months (only one), then put it away and use the other one for 3 months, then put it away and go back to the other one, and so on like that.

PopSeoul’s advice is spot on. I hope you girls have learned lots of new info on beautifying your hair from this post! :)

Dumpling…if you’re not working for Aveda already…you should be! :) Great advice. I’m not a big fan of the Rosemary Mint b/c it tends to dry out my hair but I do like Shampure. Aveda also has great products for men. I’ve gotten several guys hooked on it b/c it smells so natural, they don’t feel girly using it. :) Another really nice brand of haircare products is Kerastase. But keep in mind that (like some have mentioned already), it really is normal to shed about 50-100 strands of hair daily. And of course the longer your hair is, the more noticeable or worse it might seem.

I’m not an expert on haircare by any means…I just learn from my hairdresser friends. Now skincare on the other hand…… :P

i agree…pantene makes my hair fall out too. x_X now i use thermasilk it makes my hair really puffy (too much volume). i think i should switch back to herbal essences.

ah!!is that true?? pantene is crap?

lawl good thing i use garnier fructis! (which smells good xD) omg don’t tell me that’s a bad shampoo too! O.O

Biolage shampoo is not sulfate free. It’s main ingredients have sodium laureth sulfate & sodium lauryl sulfate.

  11. 11 Star December 2, 2007 at 10:41 am

Haha i used to use Pantene but I wanted to try someting new so i stopped using it.

  12. 12 tangy December 2, 2007 at 12:48 pm

i<3 pantene….i use the ice shine stuff

it works soooooo well and my hair is so shiney and soft…probably why i play with it all through apush..lol

it’s affordable too…..bumble and bumble is so freakin expensive and doesn’t do anything

Thanks Dumpling for the tips. :) I’ll try Shampure and Hang Straight. I went through a phase where I was trying Japanese shampoos like Kanebo’s Resche and Shiseido’s Fino(I felt that asian countries should have formulas best for asians hair). My hair felt nice but after awhile it felt a little dry. I think their shampoos have too much detergent. I read that shampoo shouldnt lather up too much else it will strip your natural oils too much.

just like pantene to pick a plastic/fake celeb for their unhealthy/crappy product.

  15. 15 kim ae-ri February 18, 2008 at 3:29 am

“L’oreal Elseve Nutri Gloss shampoo” is the best for me.

    Kim Ahjoong looks so fake.

An obvious product of plastic surgery.

way to buy into hype. parabens and sulfates do NOT make your hair fall out. maybe certain types of shampoos by chance work better on your hair (more likely, just hair goes through periods of shedding more often), but lol no.

parabens cause a furor for being potentially carcinogenic, not for making hair fall out. lmao.
(and sulfates cause a furor for being “too harsh” of a surfectant but in fact 99% of “sulfate-free” shampoos use olefin sulfonate which is even stronger)

  18. 18 mrs. kim August 29, 2008 at 11:18 am

and the “waxy chemicals” that “coat your hair” – dude people, it’s silicone. almost ALL hair products have silicone of some sort

  19. 19 mrs. kim August 29, 2008 at 11:21 am

^ didn’t finish my previous post. anyone semi-knowledgeable on hair knows that while silicones make hair smooth + shiny, it can build up after a while. clarify. and deep condition.

its not that hard. seriously. don’t call a product junk if you don’t know what you’re doing
