Despite a rough 2007, the year ends on a relatively happy note for newly shaggy haired Rain (Bi or Jung Ji-hoon). Our favorite ESL student and K-pop king received the Asian Male Star of the Year award at the CineAsia Film Festival in Macau on December 06th, 2007.

We look forward to seeing him in the Wachowski directed movie, Speed Racer next May. Let’s hope that the ESL studies have paid off.
The Asian Female Star of the Year award went to Chinese actress, Tang Wei of movie “Lust, Caution”.

sheesh…i thought speed racer was going to be something like the fast and the furious or initial d….this is totally not what i expected. they made it sound all nice when they said it was filmed in germany. it’s just another trivial movie…i think i would choose herbie over this one. but i guess this would be consider Rain’s big break in America, right? i think i like it when he’s in korean dramas more…he just looks silly in speed racer. no wonder he didn’t want any papparazzi to sneak pictures of him during the process of filming the movie…

Ei popseoul… He is an EFL student not ESL cuz he is studying English as a foriegn language.English is not really considered as a secondary language in Korea right? Not everybody can speak the language unlike in Singapore, Philippines and etc wherein English is pretty much understood by everybody. Thats the difference between English Secondary Language (ESL) and English Foreign Language (EFL). I hope am making sense. Thats what my English teacher told me.
That is the only kind of (Asian) award he is going to win. He is not going to win one in North America that is for sure. That first picture with him looking at that Asain Girl. It likes he saying stay away from me I am gay as gay can be. He would not know what to do if she took off her clothes in front of him.
well…i would be quite happy to teach rain what he wouldn’t know when faced with a naked gal…hahaha…um anyways, i am so excited for this movie!! they used some kind of new camera that doesn’t use film…it was saved onto a harddrive and it was all shot on a green screen…..can’t wait to see it!!

I think his face is very cute. Maybe some people don’t like cute-ness. Some people like a more manly, stream-lined type of face. Drizzle has a cute face and I don’t think it’s a bad face at all. But he’s annoying when he puts on the fake smile like he has in these photos. I seriously want to punch him in the face. When he smiles naturally, it’s really nice. He’s particularly nice on camera and has a very expressive face. Some people are better looking when you can see them in movement, rather than in a still photo. I also think Bae Yong Joon is like this. I don’t think he looks even half as good in photos as he does onscreen when he’s in movement. Some actors are like this. Not everyone can be gorgeous in every photo, at every angle like Lee Jun-Ki.

When he’s given some awards he doesnt deserve, just to lure him there to make an appearance, he should at least put up a better act and DUN be so in our face ‘I dun wanna be here, and I heck care about smiling…take my fake smile and be happy with it already’.
*sigh* it’ll be much perfect a picture if Tang Wei was given the award alongside Tony Leung as her counterpart…or even Lee Hom is more deserving with his improvement.
