Pop princess BoA no longer enjoys singing and performing on stage. In fact, she has long lost her sense of identity since her 2006 best album. BoA believes that she feels this way because she has been working non-stop for last 7 years, but she’s not giving up because she’s living for her goal of studying in the states when she turns 25. I applaud her for her honesty, but I’m a bit concerned about her mental health. Who would’ve thought that BoA, the diva who maintained her star status and has it all is not happy? Feel better BoA and you are always welcome here in the states!

Awww BoA. Im just glad she finally spoke on this issue though, I’m sure shes had her ear to the ground and noticed people yearning for the ‘old BoA’. Now even she does-well she feels shes lost a part of her identity. Its funny when i think of singers her age like Crystal Kay who have been going for the same amount of time as BoA but was studying alongside. BoA has been more successful because she put 110% in it, but now she can see that even with all this success she still wants more. I hope she gets it because she deserves it so much. I wish BoA would come and study in the Uk for maybe a year. Many S.Koreans come and study here!

It happens to the best of us. she just needs to take some time to herself. You know relax a bit, be “normal” for a while without any work. Too many stars lately have been pushed over the edge so she needs to take care of herself.

She deserves a rest, and I hope that she would at least take a few days off from work. Even though she is trying her best to reach her goals, she has already done so much for her fans. After all, celebrities are merely humans with some talent that made them become so popular in the entertainment world. If it wasn’t for their talent, they would merely live the same life we all do.
I knew she has been around for quite awhile, but it seems like she missed out a lot with childhood life. After all, she became a rising star so fast at such a young age, so she pretty much missed out the life of what teenagers would do and whatnot. I am sure she does go out and all, but the freedom is limited due to her popularity and once the time is up, she is back to work again.
I hope she is not depressed. I am not a fan of hers, but I think she’s a pretty cool girl since she can sing so well. In addition, she is so popular for so long and she is popular without having to create any scandals or anything (at least from what I know).

I know this isn’t recent and I’ve read about it before, but I sure hope BoA doesn’t feel that way anymore. I definately want her to be happy and enjoy herself because she’s still young.
However, if she does decide to study in the US instead of singing, then the best of luck to her. I know she’ll meet a wonderful man one day, someone to make her happy and I know her studying will go well.

but yeah, about Boa…I’m not surprised at all. In fact, i read somewhere that she said the first year she spent in japan, being forced to only speak japanese and absoultely no korean, was the loneliest time of her life. From that I could gather that she’s probably still sad…I mean, why does she ONLY make music in Japan now and not her home country? Even DBSK still has work in Korea even though they’re busy in Japan. And she’s been wanting to go debut in America for a LOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGG time… but they keep her in japan? It’s like the only thing she can decide for herself in her career is writing lyrics to her songs….
But I know this story is old so I hope she is feeling better now!

Old article, but this issue should be a big concern if you keep in mind what happened to Michael Jackson. Having fortune and fame only isolates a person more, and it’s even more damaging if it starts at a young age like BoA.
As much as I enjoy her music and performances (she is EXTREMELY talented compared to most of America’s newer pop stars), I think every fan should vouch in for her to take some time off if they’re truly concerned with her well being.
If you don’t flip the switch off, you can only run something for so long before it breaks
