Former Sugar member, Ayumi’s plasticized face was already covered on POPSEOUL!, but since this is cyber gossip of the week, we decided to write about it again. After the release of 2007 Winter SM Town MV, observant but forgetful netizens were surprised by Ayumi’s new look and started a heated debate about Ayumi’s new face. Some think its plastics while some think its merely weight loss. What do you think?

i love this website! Esp, when you write about people I like and know. I was signed a major record label in korea, but decided not to renew. I never debuted, but i know ahyoomi personally. And she did this diet program to fit in to our company standards. She got her eyes redone, but thats about it. Sorry Yoom Yoom haha, but its not like people dont get their eyes done…its like braces in the states.

i think it’s just the hair…her hair’s dark brown/black and it’s longer now. i really just think it’s weight loss. plus, she’s probably trying for a more sophsticated and mature look…

I just can’t agree more.
She looks beautiful each time. I think it might just be different style of makeup plus a new hairstyle. Her facial features look the same to me.
But, I like old Ayumi better. I thought her youthful sugary cute style was a refreshing change of pace next to all those Korean stars who want to look pretty and mature. But, she still looks gorgeous, so it doesn’t matter.

I know Ayumi is 100% Korean but before she looked so Japanese but know in the Smtown’s recent MV for Only Love she looks more Korean, which is what she is anyways. I miss her old look, I hope she’ll be releasing an album soon ^^

I think it’s weight loss. Just look at Hilary Duff. She used to have those cute baby fat cheeks, but as she gets older and tries to fit in the norm of getting older *getting skinny as well,* she losts a couple of weight.

when was the last time you saw ayumi? perhaps she’s had some more things done? but losing weight and maturing can make one look a bit different.
Change of hair style. You can see her forehead, which usually changes a fair amount of how someone looks.

Some people when they grow older, they soften up their personality. she just play the part, no more cute, bubble, big round gold fish eyes.. now is either sexy or soft lady like. Make up play a big part too..
i’m positive she’s had work done but i think that most of that work was during her sugar days. i think the change in looks right now is due to weight loss because her face is so much slimmer than before, and to me it doesn’t look like its changed much from when she switched to SM.

Ayumi is still pretty if she had plastic surgery. But i think its just how the pictures were taken, weight loss, and differences in make-up.
I am pretty sure it is a weight loss and I am going to think that way unless someone actually provides up with actual proof that it’s plastic surgery. She looks exactly the same as she did before, except for her puffy cheeks. After all, if you just look at her older pictures and imagine her with a skinny face, it looks the same as the pictures that were recently took. People’s face size can really affect how they look like, and it happened to Ayumi since she went from cute cheeks to having skinny ones. I prefer her cute self and even though I am straight and I am a girl, I think she’s so adorable

Mostly weight loss and a new hairstyle and hair color. She doesn’t have bangs anymore so it’s not making her face look chubbier that way, and the picture angles help too. She’s obviously HAD work done before, but since it’s so common why do people care anymore? She’s not plastic fantastic as Shoo, Inyoung and the others, so I don’t see why it matters so much.
She’s with SM now, isn’t she? She’s probably getting work horsed like the rest of them :/

I personally think it’s weight loss, although the bridge of her nose looks slightly different, but that could be the angle of the picture. The main thing is her eyes. They seem bigger if anything, so possibly eye lid surgery or whatever, but mainly weight loss is my guess. Poor Ahyoomi. What did SM do to you?
