Balladeer Sung Si Kyung got his teeth cleaned to “prepare” for the kiss scene in his music video. However, when he arrived at the set, the director changed his mind and requested that Sung Si Kyung and his co-star just hug, which made Sung Si Kyung really upset. Fortunately for the well-prepared balladeer, the director decided to film the kiss scene at the end because they did not have enough footage for the MV.
Who gets their teeth cleaned for a kiss? Either Sung Si Kyung has really bad breath or he isn’t a good kisser and it’s probably the latter. No wonder his kissing poster with Lee Sora looked so awkward, this balladeer doesn’t know how to kiss!

I don’t think it looks awkward. I think it looks STAGED, just like most kisses in Korean videos/dramas/movies. Most Korean directors still haven’t mastered the art of bringing actors together for a kissing scene in a way that looks natural and spontaneous. It’s still very “behind the times” when it comes to scenes like that. Unfortunately, it’s ALWAYS the actors involved who get the criticism for it. No one considers that they are simply doing as they are directed to do. It’s the director’s fault when a scene looks awkward and unnatural, not the actors’.
The kiss doesn’t look awkward, and what’s wrong with wanting clean teeth and good breath for a kiss scene? Sure he’s going through great lengths for it, but still, it’s really not a big deal. He was doing that lady a favor. Think about it if you were in her shoes…wouldn’t you be like..”whoo, thank god, at least now i know i don’t have to kiss someone with bad breath and dirty teeth.”…?

i agree it’s a little weird. still, if i were the actress who had to kiss sung si kyung i’d appreciate the effort. it’s better than the little stunt pulled off by the actor who played britney spears’ love interest in ‘crossroads.’ he ate a spoonful of garlic before the makeout scene.

Personally I do not like Sung Si Kyung but I do like his nice singing voice.
My favourite song is The Road to Me and it is the best song in the world. Go to youtube and find it. You’ll fall in love with the song too. Especially since his voice is very calm and soothing and is just the right voice needed for this song.
I sung this song a lot of times but my voice doesn’t match this song.
